  1. And for Action foto's to ID you if you don't have there sticker on your helmet (You only make that mistake once)
  2. I did say the racetec chip is optional . (and so did latest emails)????
  3. I missed the start of the meeting, but apparently copies are fine. I'm not sure if electric versions count as a copy. dont' have time now to watch that again.
  4. Also comfirm. No food available , just drinks.
  5. Whoohoo.. dont need ractec chips to pickup numbers…., only if you need to confirm they still valid you can take just been said on FB family time.. no of course if the people at entrance will know that
  6. ok.. gona try and do this one more time. i'm obviosuly not explaining myself properly.. dalk moet ek die taal praat? i KNOW its always been gun to mat. BUT they always advertised it that its neutral zone, then when you cross the matt, then timting start. this was said many times in the FB family meetings and caused confusion many times (was even discussed on bikehub before (I did qoute the thread somewhere). My only comment was .. in "sarcastic font" (that noone for some reason can see) is that.. They advertising it yet again as mat to mat, but in most likely it will be gun to mat again.
  7. see my edit above .. The always say its neutral zone till you cross the mats... then your time starts.. but its semantics.. only people that missed sub3 will have issue with it.
  8. My point was/is... they again advertised that it will be MAT to MAT this year with the rolling starts. but in reality it will most likely be gun to mat like its always been. they always advertise mat to mat, but it never is. NEW START PROCEDURE Please take note of the new start procedure that will be implemented at this year’s Cape Town Cycle Tour. When you arrive at the Start Precinct on Sunday you will need to have planned your route to your allocated Transition Area carefully. There are 6 Transition Areas that riders will enter before heading down to the start line and timing mats for a rolling start. The letters A, B, C, D, E or F on your race number will indicate your Transition Area. Your time will only start once you have crossed the actual timing mat marked by the Garmin Squad shortly after the start arch. EDIT: link to 2018 ctct with same issue where was advertised mat to mat
  9. Yes, that what i'm saying ... the reality is gun to mat.. but they always advertise Mat to Mat .. like they doing now again. I'm not going to go dig through years of emails .. but I do know its always been said that how it suppose to work (mat to mat) and never does and then people always upset afterwords here on bikehub about it. i've only done 6 or something.. so still noob
  10. Yes, because at each and every "CTCT FB meeting" and each email, it says.. timing start when you cross the matt. then you get resutls it uses the group start time. its been like this since I've done argus. they say and advertise one thing, and do something else But its not a issue for me.. Its just to let people know that what they say and what they do is not always the same.
  11. All the other years the "advertising" said its when you cross the matts.. but its actually when the group is suppose to start. i miss that sarcasm font
  12. So your time will start, just like all the other years.. when you cross the matts .... will believe that when I see it.
  13. Sorry, off topic the one reason for not testing everyone is that apparentley the vacinication body response can trigger false positive on some tests. so its good change that you will show positive if you been recentley vacinated well, that is from what i've read. could be complete BS as well, like covid.
  14. no... not read my emails for a while.. let me check
  15. Did you get 2nd shot, they install it then. but ours is very crap signal.. keep on buffering
  16. I started 3 times, does that count?
  17. The covid thing bean discussed to death on this thread, it is what it is. live with it or don't ride. can we rather discuss the lack of the excellent goodie bags?
  18. one use to be able to set comic sans as sarcasm font.. seems like that long gone.. (
  19. Sunscreen, eat/drink and enjoy the ride. then race it next year ????
  20. The seeding is screwed this year (worst than normal) .. they never reset CTCT 2020 beta so its not a "base event" and seems to use 2019 as base data.. But seeding don't matter as we not suppose to race this year....
  21. And watch out for the cateyes after Edinburg on the downhill.......
  22. Cape Town Cycle Tour Road Closures | Cape Town Cycle Tour looks like 12:30 ..
  23. I would agree... My normal second lap time is ~4:30 and that is stopping at each stop, pushing lot of people and just enjoying the ride. (average 150w, np, 170w @90kg).
