  3. That was very very cool.

  7. Going to need a really good proctologist if you use one of those on the trail...
  8. I have one of those old white jobs lying around if anyone wants it. iR is deader than disco.
  9. I am around 95kg. Crest on my Zula. Plenty of spoke replacements... JB used to blame my red aluminum nipples. I blame my lack of talent and the extra BigMac. Arch EX on my Evolve, no problem.

Oracle did a magic job of staying focused even when it looked like it was all over. Focused on the basics and absolutely dominated the starts. It would only have taken 1 mistake and ETNZ would have had them. That mistake never came and the Kiwis crumbled. Awesome contest. Greatest Americas Cup EVER!
  11. I've got one of those on the front of my TT bike. A Tririg Omega. Looks great, doesn't stop as well as my DA 7900s.
  12. Actually it is terrifying that the cops gave his address to a complete stranger.
  13. 11Global is a nice day out, swim is nice, bike is nice and fast, run is a beast, especially if it gets hot. Long drive but a well-run event. 5150 is the old Jhb City tri. Swim is ok, I don't like laps and this one is 2 laps. Bike is flat and fast, run is flat and fast. If the 5150 folks are running it, it will be a great event too, and right on the doorstep. In short both well-run events. The travel cost to Sun City will eat the difference between the entry fees.
  14. Cleaning that is going to suck.
  15. Nah, not as spectacular as you would think. Involves a heaving line being thrown/shot across, attached to a piece of braided nylon rope, which is then hauled across, wound around a capstan/winch and hauled in to pull a thick steel wire rope across. Steel rope is attached to a anchor cable which is then winched across and attached to towing eyes on the foc'sle of the tanker, and strung in a long catenary towing bridle between the two vessels. to take up any shock-loads as the tug tows the tanker away. All very exciting in progress, followed by extremely boring on the tow.
  16. ...but can she ride a bike?
  17. The Missus lent me her car when she was away on business...
  18. WOW that TT shape has dated badly...
  19. That Canyon is wicked.
  20. Come JB, don't hold back, you know you want to...
  21. I ride a rear right, front left. OP, whatever works for you, just keep it consistent. I went down to Ctn once and the nice folks at a local bike shop lent me an awesome Giant Reign for a day or two of fun at Delvira. Only realised the brakes were the other way around when I tried to drag the rear end around a particularly fast and twisty switchback, nearly put myself over the bars
  22. Freewheel in 2 different directions, means you can produce power pedaling forward AND backward.
