  1. Good luck with the light 12 pages and we have not even seen a pic yet - must be a new record? Interested to see as there are more and more night races coming on, plus all nighters that limit the effectiveness of many of the lights. Interested in the results of your next pic..... Ons wag in spanning
  2. Interesting reading the full report - he comments on the raised BB - a problem with most 29ers is the lowered BB
  3. You maybe need to get the size of the tyre as well - so in your case 29", but also the 2.1 etc as these all influence the ride. Plus whether it is tubeless. I ride my tubeless too hard, as I have not yet had time to play with softer settings and harder is probably safer ?
  4. Are you going to have stock ready for Baviaans? Also is that the light output for 11hours? Not just for a burst and then dimmer to get the life?

    My new MTB

What rides have you done and how does it compare to your previous steed? I am looking at the same, but need to justify.....
  6. Made by Tata?
  7. At the Epic they did a good thing in passing out a wrist band with your emergency number and medical details. This is on a refective band, so I leave permanently on my Bike. This could work in addition to the details on the boards
  8. Why are you trying to chase a sponsor away from the sport? If they do not sponsor those guys they will stop supporting cycling and not change teams
  9. Works well on long rides too - have done Baviaans and One Day - long hours and no problem with battery life. In fact I am still running the same batteries after 15 months of riding - anyone know how long they do last? Just watch the settings for a long ride - if you want to get the temp over the route, you need to set the lap counter as only this records the temperature...
  10. There is little mention so far of the effect of the increased volume of air and the ability to then run a softer tyre = smoother ride, especially if you are on a hard tail on a long ride. Also if you ride tubeless you can go softer still - endless permutations. My rule is - if wet go thinner. - long dry - go wider - mixed or unknown - go middle of the road
  11. So when can we hope to see them advertised in the Classified's section - you have all that extra pipe that needs to be used?
  12. There was in fact a Tandem on the race - they did Nic's Pass
