  1. Tickr on special for today at Takealot for R699 for those in the market....
  2. road bike for trianer. dont road bike though...
  3. I would imagine it the case. But I have checked the geometry and all seems 100% legit. I have however never gone for a professional "saddle setup" measuring my pelvic bones etc.. Perhaps a good idea...
  4. perhaps off topic a little... but how do you guys handle your rear ends? I zwift and my ass really gets very sore. Riding mtb in general it isnt as much an issue, but in the trainer it really gets sore. I have even tried cycling with liv saddles. best at the moment seems to be a giant liv. But I still get sore and rarely go further than an hour in...
  5. to be honest. I think this is brilliant. May just move to SRAM because of this... 10t out back is not required. Just put two teeth up on the chainring to accomodate for that if you really feel that 11t on a MTB is a problem ;D
  6. I am ticked. This is not the first time this has happened but this is 3rd time in almost as many days where I buy something and there is confirmation that I am first after which the seller sells it to the next/another person. I can only assume for a better price. This is to my mind totally unethical. Both on the seller and the new buyer's part. Am I just being upset over nothing? The general sales/purchases on the site has been great from my perspective but is certainly going down. I buy a fair amount yes. I buy for my greater extended family that does not have the finances most have. I look for a bargain yes. I see the potential use for the individual in need. Of late though it seems to happen more an more often where a sale is not represented as indicated. I have bought a XT wheelset in "great condition" with a shot rear hub and freewheel. Frame in good nick with shot /seized pivot bearings. Forks with shot stanchions that are "perfect". These have mostly been a met with an attitude of "wtf are you on about? You bought it. Your problem... " And of late a host of purchases that "sorry another guy took it" after I confirmed I am taking it.. I have never given anyone a bad seller rating. Taking it on the chin. I am however going to start now. And I urge all to do the same. Maybe it will resolve the general slide and decline of moral values in the classifieds. Rant over.
  7. someone that understands what it is about...
  8. exactly. so dont piss the driver off. I may be cycling 100m ahead well within the law and the pissed off driver inadvertently takes it out on me. So please do not do it.
  9. you guys are missing my point. as most here seem to do with others post. I am not saying that cyclists do not have rights to the road. But most cyclists proclaim they have more rights that what the law regarding cycling in SA allows. I have an issue with that cause it pisses off motorists and cause motorists to have a negative view of cyclists, which happens to include me.
  10. But you pay as a motor vehicle driver. Your motor vehicle license pays for the road maintenance. Not your bicycle license which you dont have anymore. I respect those other people (drivers) and realise how much it causes me discomfort when I drive (in a car) up behind a bunch of cyclists that seem hell bent on pissing drivers off and fear how much it irkes other drivers and what they may inadvertently do because of that when I am on my cycle riding single file.
  11. Since they pay for the road and the cyclist dont... just something to keep in mind. I hate it when I find cyclists riding abreast. They mostly heve a middle finger attitude towards the other road users. They are like taxis imho. I cycle but never do this.

    servicing rp23

not the air chamber. there is apparently nitrogen in the rebound section at 400 psi. The little valve that is at the bottom with a plastic plug in it... Not sure why nitrogen and not air...
  14. sorry for the dumb question but should the sag not be set up that front and rear drops thus staying level?
  15. Hi guys, servicing my RP23's. Need to do a "rebuild" on one fo them. This would include (on one of them) the seal that causes the oil to leak out the adjustment shaft and also some way of getting the nitrogen back in. Anyone know who can help with this? Cheers!
