  1. I dig Strava mostly for the challenges. I'd have done these even if there wasn't the possibility of winning something... Very good idea from the organisers.
  2. What a sick way to market an event...!
  3. They're still battling to get stock on XTR stuff. I wouldn't hold my breath for a while...
  4. Oh, well at least the incident has been 'Condemned'... Whew, what a relief...
  5. When in doubt, FLAG...!!! I flag everyone ahead of me on the leader board.
  6. I got a kudu from Yaseen too earlier. For a 1 hour 40tss recovery ride.
  7. And yoh, how amazing is that Pantani inspired Mercer with the internal routing and di2...?!
  8. No Scott, no Spaz, Dragon's brought all the Giants, but not a single Santa Cruz. Overall the fair is really cool. More of the industry needs to support it.
  9. Then I'd say black tape and saddle. There isn't any white anywhere else...
  10. What colour are the decals...?
  11. Aah, shot Evan
  12. Don't be hatin on a playa... Playa...
  13. How do we get hold of him though..? He doesn't come here too often. No answers to PM's...
  14. I am indeed interested. The purists will probably not be impressed, but I want to fit a modern 10/11 speed groupset and carbon wheels to an old frame. Italian is perfect, but I'd prefer something with a BSA thread. Not too many current grouppo's are Italian threaded BB shell friendly. It must be steel. I'm not able to shell out for a bespoke steel build from Donhou bikes or the like, so my original plan was to buy a Ritchey Road Logic to build up, but a frame alone is just shy of 15k. So I don't want to shoot the lights out on a frame. I'd prefer to spend the bulk of my budget on the groupset and wheels. It's likely that I'll strip the paint off the bike and have it custom sprayed by Bogus, so it needn't be in perfect nick, just no terminal rust or dents/bends/gouges. These are the lines I'm thinking along... I love the look of skinny tubing with deep sections.
  15. Anyone got a size 53/54 steel road frame with a bit of pedigree that they'd like to part with...? Preferably not a locally made frame. I'm putting parts together for a modern retro build.
  16. If it says it's being transported, it's on it's way. EMS isn't like DHL or FedEx etc. There's a reason it's free and not charged for like express shipping methods. Just be patient. Tell them you'll remove the dispute as soon as the tracking shows it has arrived in the country. Alibaba is not a mickey mouse organisation, and for as long as you have the dispute logged, they wont release your money to the seller. I waited 3.5 weeks for my wheels to arrive and am still waiting for some kit I ordered even before I placed the order for the wheels. I tracked it and it's here, but EMS locally is a division of the SAPO, who are in and out of striking, so I expected the delays. I applied for an extension on the protection this morning and they've done so, even though they can see it's in SA. I doubt you're in the process of being screwed, just be extremely patient.
  17. I've ordered successfully through AliExpress. It's pretty standard for vendors to take a few days to dispatch goods and supply a tracking number. It can take up to 3 weeks (or more) to arrive here, then a while to clear customs, and then it sits at the JHB International Mail Centre till EMS/The South African Post Office stops striking and delivers the parcel, or till you go collect it...You can apply to extend the buyer protection, just send the vendor a request via the site. Keep checking www.trackmyparcel.co.za to see when it's in the country. Just be patient.
  18. Can somebody PM me DG's number please...? I'm keen to know how he aided SAIDS... I'm sure I can lend them a hand in something. I have some pretty good ideas/theories on what they should be testing for.. I'd really like to do a sub 5 hour 94.7 before my 24 months is up... The Hoff - Doped, co-operated fully, 6 month slap on the wrist, DG - Ultra doped, 2 month reduction, Owen Hannie - Doped, TV Personality, team ABSA staple team member. All pro's at the time of their 'busts'. Jeez man, as a fully co-operative, immediately admitting, weekend hacker they should just let me off with a free pair of socks and a water bottle... And a personal invite from Kevin Vermaak back into The Epic.
  19. I see what you did there...
  20. Ya, I'm certainly accustomed to a much shorter time frame...
  21. Here OP, this oke will hug you...
  22. Here are just a few examples. I was even given a free sample sachet of the Hellfire at a pharmacy to try out. I figured, if it tastes like chlorine and gives you pins and needles in your face before making you squat significantly heavier, it's probably not ok to use...
  23. Easy: Know zip all about what's legal or not, walk into dischem, see label on product saying 'supercharge/accelerate/ignite your workout into the stratosphere yadda yadda', skim yislaaik, that sounds shweet, i'll try it, race moer off, wee in cup, BOOM....!
  24. Godda read those pre-workout labels people. You can buy it 'over the counter' at any supplement shop or Dischem etc. Its in Jack3d, SA Supplements' Hellfire and countless other "Pump up your muscles" pre-workout powders. This guy didn't need to meet Walter White in a dark alley wearing dark glasses and a fedora to come right. At his level he probably knew it wasn't cricket to drink it, but test a couple of bulky looking backmarkers at the 94.7 and you'll definitely find it in their cups of neon pee pee..
