  1. Please phone cycle events I'm also keen to know; who, when, where, etc
  2. Soccer mom Nance, are you relieved of soccer duties?
  3. Very glad for her, Evan and family!
  4. hoighty-toighty 'burn them at the stake'ers, and those with nothing to hide, but wanting to proof things, are welcome to do the same: http://www.facebook.com/Purebloodathletes/info http://www.purebloodathletes.com/ 'only' R2500 per annum for six random tests
  5. I do not mind engaging, however when the best answer to a decent question is mere name-calling it really gets to me. As in real life, the moment a person cannot answer an easy and direct question it is a clear indication that they do not have an answer to the question, and need to side step the question...
  6. So we are on the same page. Speed, per se, does NOT kill. Just like fire arms, per se, do NOT kill. It is drivers and shooters (people), and the ill application of said methods/tools, who kill due to lack of judgement? shock... horror... logic!
  7. I prefer uncapped
  8. Attempted deflection again. I took issue with the 'speed kills' mantra. Answer that, or assist goya-goya to come up with a meaningful answer (not retort) to that question.
  9. </sarcasm> ok? Please answer my question. I'm am not falling for your (failed) deflection attempt. I'm repeating for your convenience: "What is the cut off point for speed after which it starts to kill?"
  10. No I am not an idiot (note correct spelling, as well as the guts to spell it correctly!), nor am I trying to appear like one. So, pray do tell, what is the cut off point for speed at which it starts to kill? Think carefully now Is it faster than what you can travel on horse back (There was such a speed limit at some point - go read up on your history!) I am eagerly awaiting your well considered reply. Note: Please quote me as you've made my blocked list a while ago. I might just miss your (well considered) reply if you do not quote me.
  11. Fallacy! Speed does not kill! If that is true everybody going faster than what you can do on horseback should be dead
  12. cat dracs?
  13. See you there tomorrow!
  14. You're welcome! See you there
  15. Strongs Evan! Hope you find her unhurt and soon.

  17. Kinda forgot I have a bio appointment from 5 to 6pm Guess I'm out then. See some of you on Sunday!
  18. Yip, a snap photo can misrepresent what is actually happening (rip things out of context) - ask TW about that & he'll quote you reams of practices and procedures as attempts for this not to happen. The fact of the matter is that the media do misrepresent facts/photos to suit them (sell newspapers). You might be able to take exception against them via www.presscouncil.org.za or the court. Another option is to stay anonymous and distance yourself quietly from the photo (deny! deny! deny!) - might be cheaper & easier
  19. comment above does not compute in light of earlier comment below. My questions are still valid, even though a bit "legalistic" because these things will come up in a court case somewhere, sometime...
  20. Yes.However, are hand signals still legal? Were they not the 'canned' with some law changes a few years ago? Another question(depending on the actual wording in the law; vehicle vs motor vehicle): Do you have to maintain a 1.5m gap when overtaking another cyclist?
  21. Thursday evening is Jozi Hustle
  22. The 2013 edition? Bit ahead of times!
