And by attempting to be (being in their minds) super cool they miss the crux of being cool. They act like a teenager trying to fit in and being 'one of the guys' (to impress the gals more often than not) however the gals (and everybody else for that matter) see through their attempts at coolness and identify them for being insecure, and eager to break others around them down! Cool? Heck NO! Insecure? YES Anti-establishment.... has that not turned into an establishment in itself? Oh, the irony!

Why this obsession with what other people do, or should do? Were any animals, children, elderly harmed by these actions people perpetrated? If somebody wants to look like whatever (in your opinion) let them do that. If you can't stand the sight of their clothing then look elsewhere. It really is THAT easy! Cyclists are too fond of fighting their own(Mountain bikers do not wear/do that. Tights must be this colour. Roadies are like that). Why all this 'moral' grand standing? All these hissy fits, and it is holiday season! WTF? How about that old adage of if you do not have something positive to say,rather keep quiet?

Only up to where you go around the corner and enter the treeline. After that it should be reasonable again (The last section to the river is normally rocky, so being careful there should be fine. 28c tyres should help plenty (and old rims!)

Wet behind the ears it seems? Remember your words when somebody in a larger caliber vehicle (multiple tons, eg 2, or 5, or more) bears down on you in your vehicle whilst operating it on the road. Anyways, zaffers seems to have this mentality of "the bigger my vehicle, the more 'rights' I have on the road, and everybody 'lesser' must get out the way and bow down to my eminence". I feel safer riding at least 1m from the left, than hugging the shoulder / far left. Cars give me more space & treat me with greater respect/circumspection riding AWAY from the hard left, than ON the hard left. Anyways... I'm taking my camera on a mountain biking trip this Sunday. Cannot wait to take photos of c0ckt0ns1l MTBers riding dual suspension bikes on gravel roads!

Keeping left, as required by law, implies keeping left of the median(middle) of the road. Where does the rules/law stipulate that you have to keep to the left of the left hand line (hard shoulder)?

According to the rumours(none) I heard, nothing happened. However, from what I understand reading this it would appear that an insecure, judgemental cyclist happened upon a not insecure cyclist and is now trying to push his own view of the world on the rest of us. Those who want to wear white: do so. Those who have an issue with it: get over it. Personally? I wouldn't wear white shorts(lycra, or other), but that is just me. And NO! I do NOT play cricket!

Cycle Lab's seeding only took (take? if we see it again) in account events with more than 750? entries, or a certain number of pro teams. calculing a seeding (straing percentage) base on my placing in the 94.7 gives a decidedly skewed result: ~5.365. this number is somewhat flattering as I never felt that close to the fast guys, so placing alone? NO! It measures you against the back of the field, rather than the front. Being roughly 18000th last is even more irrelevant than being in position ~1000!

Not really... They've had some quite major system changes the last while (to protect your identity, amongst other things) and with the seeding not being SUCH an important issue (compared to the legal obligation to protect indivudual info - yes, you COULD find all kinds of personal details of other people on that website!) I'll gladly calculate my seeding for the next while myself. Have a look at the spreadsheet to estimate your own seeding for a race. Change the values in the orange cells. Sometimes the official seeding results are slightly different as the winner time seems to have been adjusted (much like the beta thing PPA does) Seeding Calculation.zip Another option is to go to the Pedal Power website, and follow the Seeding drop down at the top of the page. Although their results (due to the beta) differs quite a bit from those on the Super Seeding Ladder.
