  14. Hi Guys, A friend of mine is looking to buy a new road bike with a maximum price tag of R20k for the complete bike? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Nero
  15. Hi Guys, I have a set of reynolds assault full carbon wheels. They came with reynolds specific pads and explicitly said that cork pads are not allowed as it will melt the rim. I then bought another set of full carbon wheels but the breaking surface is not treated and used the same pads as on the reynolds wheels. Can I use them on these wheels as well? Thanks Nero
  16. Any advice would be appreciated. I have gone through various saddles in my life and still haven't found anything that works very well for me. Admittedly my bikes set-up wasn't right due to a very long top tube but that's now been sorted with a new BMC pro machine that's the correct size. I have tried a slr kit carbonio and a san marco Zoncalon but they are not the most comfortable. Not looking for more padding but maybe something in a different size and geometry? The major problem is that you cant realy try out a saddle before you have bought it and done 100km plus with it. Nero
  17. With 11 speed? if it works I will do so!
  18. Brilliant, it worked! Thanks Johan!
  19. Hi Guys, I'm hoping for some advice. I bought an 11 speed kmc missing link for my super record chain but can't get the link to lock!! The 10 Speed link was easy to lock in a 10 speed chain but this 11 speed one, just doesn't want to lock? I see on the back of the package it says I need special pliers to open and close the chain but this wasn't necessary with the 10 speed link? Any advice?
  20. Ive had a 90mm stem but the bike becomes to twitchy in handling.
  21. My Saddle height, from BB (c-t)is 810mm which is as high as George Hincapies and he is 1.91m tall!!
  22. Hi Guys, Im struggling to decide on what size frame I need to buy. I am 1.85/6 tall and have vert long legs and a short torso. I currently ride a giant tcr size L but find the top tube a bit long (110mm stem and dont want to go shorter). Should I go for the 57cm BMC or a 55cm? I currently ride with 5.5cm of spacers on the headtube but with a shorter top tube can drop the bars lower. Any advice would be welcome. Nero
  23. Eish, the venge will be close to 40 000 so that's a bit out of my price range... How does it compare to other bikes yove ridden Tarmac?
  24. Hi Guys, Has anyone bought a SWIFT R838 isp and what's your impressions? What else is there in that price cat that you would suggest (same weight, style etc.)? Nero
  25. To me the whole ting is ridiculous, when do how many parts make up a complete bike. I asked Chainreaction if they can dissemble a bike but they are not allowed to do it.
