In terms of budget used is your only real option, you first want to make sure you know what size to look for based on your inseam and height, I think small but you don't want to make a mistake here. 29inch MTBs are arguably the best and most common now but you will get better bang for your buck with a 26" @RobertWhitehead is very helpful and builds a lot of bikes. He may have something that can work for you on hand, Good luck! Once you find a bike make sure you get a proper bike fit also.

It's quite sad how this once virtually untouched reserve has become so commercialised. Hardly see any animals anymore other than a lunatic bird. The trails themselves are actually well maintained and good fun though.

Geez but these guys are absoutely pathetic. I'm looking for a Neo2 T disc extractor so I can clean up my trainer. I see they have two options on their local site so I query online. Suprisingly I get an email response quite quick saying 'we have any tool extractors in stock'. Great so I ask how I can order one foe the 2T only to be told they meant they DON'T have any tool extractors in stock and I should check with Cycle Lab who are one of their biggest outlets. I check with Cycle Lab who initially don't know what the product is, and then they tell me they'll check if Garmin SA have stock... Kill me now. How Garmin has such bad local representation absolutely blows. My. Mind.

I also found this is 100% the difference, by upping my cadence just 10 rpm higher on my road bike its helped my MTB and road bike fitness.

Ok fair enough, I would look at the difference in pricing with the 34/50 vs 36/52 and decide from there. 34/50 should be fine for those hills, even with a 29 cassette.

It's a fantastic trainer but its not the top of the range Tacx anymore.
