  1. Hi! How much does the momsen seatpost weigh?
  2. Anybody tried / rides with an Alero seatpost? They are light and look decent?
  3. Thanx 'cav! Will have a look!
  4. I am interested in the KCNC. I googled it and it seems that riders complain that clamp mechanism is not performing (saddles are sliding / rails damaged). Anyone with experience of this?
  5. Light
  6. Hi, I need help from fellow hubbers, please. I've bought a Scott Spark Premium with a carbon syncross seatpost. The current seatpost has a setback and I need to replace it with a zero-setback seatpost. What is the best seatpost to get? I have no idea what to look for. I know carbon is not always lighter/better. Must I look at another carbon seatpost / Thomson Elite / KCNC Scandium Ti Pro Lite or something else? Any help will be appreciated.
  7. My new baby Scott Spark Premium!!!
  8. Have a look at Hotspot Cycles. They stole our bikes and we bought 2012 Scotts for very good price there! I'm in the 7th heaven! Got them now for 2 weeks, rode my first race with them last weekend!

  12. Hi, my cannondale scapel ultimate with 650B wheels was stolen out of my house during a housebreak Thursday evening. I'm a lady, 1.66m tall and loved my 650B. The challange is, what do I buy now? I can not find a new race ds 650B. Shoudt I buy top-end 26er and pay ano additional to convert or must I close my eyes and go 29er? My strong point is climbing and do not want to compromise that...really stuck!
  13. The online entries for the Tour the Farm will close tomorrow , 1 Nov 2012, at 17:00. If you're happy to hand the R35 late entry fee to Middelburg Primary, then please don't enter online. You can enter online at http://www.entrytime.com/index.asp?GoTo=EventInfo&EventID=3641. Remember to select the school you'll be riding for. The school with the most entries will win R10000 and organise the event next year.
  14. WoW! Nice event!
  15. Hi! I'm 1.66 and weigh 54. Bought a 29er for hubby and 26er for myself and converted it to a 650B. It is the best thing I could do! Love the in-betweener!
  16. Horses for courses! I just love my "in-betweener"! Just buy the bike you love and have fun on it! That is what it is all about!
  17. Hi, I've started riding mtb in Dec last year, thus I'm still new on the component side. Wanted to convert my steed last month and after phoning different shops country-wide (we do not have a proper lbs) to get advice and components I ended-up phoning buy-cycle out of desperation after 2 months of frustration. I had everything in place but needed a new tapered fox fork with quick release. Everybody just stated that they are sorry and can't assist as there is only thru-axle available. What a surprise! The people immediately assisted me and provided me with excellent advise! They asked which wheels I'm using - told them AC .... their response - not a problem...just buy the adapter for your hub! Now why could not one other shop tell me this? After 2 months of frustration I got all the fork and adapter shipped overnight - and my bike was ready for some serious fun for the week-end. I will really recommend them - was definitely worth it! Just love my bike!.
  18. Hi, Thank you for all the feedback! Thinking of putting 2 bikes on the tow bar and 2 bikes on the roof. Just need to confirm what I need. Does the Thule Euroway fit on the gooseneck towbar? If I have the Mercedez-Benz cross bars for the roofrack, will the Thule fit on the roof or do I have to buy the Thule cross bars?
  19. Jip! That might work! I have a ML. Any suggestions for roofrack?
  20. Hi! I need some thoughts / experience on a 4 bike platform type bike carrier. We usually use our trailer with the bike rack mounted to transport the bicycles to events. It used to be just me and hubby (MTBs or road tandem). The kids started to enjoy the MTB vibe and do all the 10km and 20km events - which is great! The challange is that we do not always want to take the trailer along, and thought of buying a 2/3 bike platform type bike carrier. But with the kids joining in the fun - we need to reconsider. How strong, safe and practical is a 4 bike platform type bike carrier? We have different sizes mountain bikes. A 29er for hubby, I just finished building my In-Betweener (650B) and the kids have their 26" bikes! Will all these bikes fit on such a carrier? Do any body have any other suggestions? Thanx!
  21. Hi Does anyone know where I can find 650B tyres in Gauteng? My wheels arrived at last! Now I need tyres!
  22. Hi! I'm also excited! Just bought a set of American Classic 650B wheels for my 2012 Scott Spark 40! Just waiting for a quote on a Fox fork and then I'm rolling! How is the conversion influencing your bike's handling? Can't wait to try it out!
