  1. I found a multi tool at Groenkloof this morning. If you lost it and can identify it then please contact me.
  2. bet it's quicker to change a tube on a loose wheel than one that is attached to a bike...
  3. you need to rethink your frame size. that just looks wrong...
  4. funny, they never say that when you go to test drive a sports car...
  5. squirt?! hahaha you guys are hilarious...
  6. It looks like Cancellara is not so keen on riding his sram chain anymore... image from cyclingnews.com
  7. my small blocks are 2.1 if u're still interested
  8. stans, joes and other amonia based sealants react with the co2 to dry out the sealant. if you use a fiber based sealant such as oko you wont have the same problems. if you are going to bomb your tire with stans in it then use an innovations big air canister as it's not compressed co2
  9. i had a choc berry this afternoon, awesome bar. hadn't had lunch and the bar kept me going till dinner...
  10. something unique comes to mind. take a look at these! http://www.lapierre-bikes.co.uk/lapierre/road-bike/webseries also bear in mind that you are going to feel the most difference in your wheels so spend the money there. and campag, need i say more...
  11. these poor bike shops make next to nothing and service your bikes for even less, then get dragged over the coals when they realize that if they don't do anything about their margins they're going to go belly up...
  12. seanGT, put the small block on the rear. it is a much faster tyre, less rolling resistance...
  13. i've had them for just over a year now and i'm still on the 1st pair of cleats. the alu plate that you walk on is wearing but the parts that serve the function of clipping in and out still appear fine, so yes they do last longer than plastic cleats.
  14. i changed from dura-ace to speedplay. the adjustability of the pedals was key for me. i had problems with my itb for a couple of years and only after changing did i get over the problem. all in all i'd say a really comfortable pedal with fantastic float adjustment system...
  15. not necessarily the case... grease, being thicker, will result in some freewheels dragging as you freewheel at higher speeds. the mavic wheels are particularly prone to this. you need something thicker than chain oil and thinner than grease. mixing the 2 to until you reach an optimum consistency works well.
  16. the foam does degrade over time, especially if you leave it lying around in the sun... my helmet is about 3 years old. it looks like it can still do its job but on close inspection there are hairline cracks forming in the foam
  17. thanks droo, the problem is definitely not the bb [which is truvative]. the problem lies in the crank itself, possibly just a bad batch, but it's the crank never the less...
  18. if only they could make one light enough for cross country, then we'd be getting somewhere...
  19. good luck, hope yours hold out... it definitely looks better than tiagra
  20. if i pull the crank out of the frame, hold the axle in 1 hand and the crank arm in the other, i can feel the 2 pieces move where they fit together. it does feel like a loose bb while riding but only on the right hand side...
  21. i've had problems with 2 elita cranks. its a nice, stiff crank but the right hand crank arm has developed play at the bb axle on both of the sets that i have used...
  22. they taste awful in my opinion. uve got to get them into your stomach before they can be of any value... ive been using the fit gels for ages and still swear by them.
  23. My brother forgot his wheel at northern farm after his ride yesterday its a front wheel off his tandem, Mavic EX721 rim laced to an LX hub He was parked near the jungle-gym. If anyone found the wheel or know of its whereabouts please give Chris a call on 0846571582 thx ant
  24. best pedals i ever bought [was using spdr b4] the best thing about them is the adjustability of the cleats. the float that u get also has no resistance.
  25. those 06/07 shifters had problems. its a standard warranty. remember epic last year shimano ran out of spare shifters and we were left repairing the broken ones for the remainder of the epic... jst one of those new release glitches.
