  1. Starting Q 7:06. Better get my bike dusted off.
  2. I bought my Giant at Cajees beginning of the year and had no problems. Got it a hell of a lot cheaper than any of the other bike shops could give it to me. For the service I took it to one of the bike shops I knew had the technical knowledge to work on it. You need to decide what you want. Pay more for something and have a technical discussion about it or pay a good price for what you want?
  3. Thanks. I will search for them.
  4. I recently bought my first carbon bike and read that I should not transport the bike on a carrier where it hangs from the top tube. Seeing I had an aluminium frame bike before this was not an issue. My question now is this. Is there an impact to the bike if I put it on the old carrier where it hangs or should I now also get a carrier where it stands on the rack? The problem with this though is that it's not easy to get a carrier where you can get 4 bikes standing and I need it when I go on holiday (wife and 2 brats have mountain bikes). Views please.
  5. I'm trying to enter online for the OFM, but the MTN site does not give me the option. It only links me back to the OFM site for info on the race. Who has entered for the race recently and on what site did you manage to do it?
  6. My wife & I want to go mountain biking as well as 2 of my friends. We do not want to do anything serious, so will be very slow. Where on the East Rand can we go? I don't particularly want to go with a group as I will frustrate the hell out of them, so I only need to know where the routs are (for now).
  7. Maybe this kid is the next Lance
  8. Na 'n k@k dag het ek 'n lekker lag nodig gehad. Thanks julle
  9. Great pic Tankman. It's wasn't nice out there today.
  10. Sleep City do not have enough money to get most of us there anyway.
  11. If you look at his stats he love complaining. Especially having dig at FNB. Move your account if you are unhappy.
  12. Same here. I'm just no losing fast enough. I would like to shed about 6kg before Argus.
  13. ALl this for speed and the law still say 120kmh. Up herew these days actually 80kmh on the highway. JMPD take lovely picturesof you though.
  14. For all the updates you want go check it out on the link. http://www.gautrain.co.za/index.php?fid=1&fp=0 It's an awsome project. Most of the sites are apparently still on schedule, which is great for such a big project. Funny that you don't hear the people from Gautrain go on a strike, but the soccer stadium staff strike regularly. Shows the different management style.
  15. I don't think it's allowed any more. If you can proof that you have the insurance somewhere then they must cancel theirs. The clever way they get around it is by puting it as a clause in your contract that you will take their insurance. If you change it you need a new contract.

  18. The greed of whom? No bank forced anyone to take credit or to buy a car they could not afford or to borrow money they did not want. The greed at play here is the greed of the CONSUMER. Banks do what banks do; indeed, our banks are nowhere near as reckless as those of overseas, maintaining as they do a debt/capital ratio of 10:1. Five large US investment banks were permitted by the federal reserve to move up to gearing of 30:1 and even more (these are organisations like Lehman Bros, Bear Stearns, JP Morgan chase...remember them? Consigned to history). So, don't go blaming the banks while you drive you fancy car that you can't? afford to put petrol into, or go home to your swish neighbourhood where you can't afford to put food on the table which hasn't been paid for.If consumers are too foolish to see beyond the end of their noses, they have to shoulder the blame too. And if that means the bank coming to claim that which is the banks...well, it is within its rights... Agree. It's a business same as any other. Stop spending and you will not have a problem, but if you need the credit to fund your bling then pay up as well.
  19. I'm looking as well. Edenvale Pedallers current fee is R175 and they prefer you to buy the kit for the club rides (R600). The fees for 2009 may go up depending on the new licence fees from CSA.
  20. So we have to blame the airlines for mixing us up
  21. We are all red 5mm below the skin, so who cares
  22. I know I should. There is lots of races up in JH as well. I just need to make the time for them.
  23. I want to enter the Cape Argus next year and have to pay for the temp license although I will register with a club next year. What a lot of nonsense. I don't want to register with a club now as I will not participate in any events any more. Why not rather allow me to update my details next year or refuse me entrance by not giving me my entry documents. Surely a better process can be thought of.
