  1. cut cutcut My only concern is loose gravel on the climbs and mud (if there is any around at that time of year?) dont be concerned be very worried!!!!
  2. mountain king's will be alright for the time trial would be better if you could get something mud specific for example the Bontrager mud X also there is a lot of mud at the sabie experience so tubeless is a good idea but dont forget the mudguards
  3. a track bike is ridden with alot more aggression and they generally need to be stiffer to aid in accelleration on the bankings of the track

that is the best statement anybody has ever said
  5. if it is still shifting three there is too much play in your cable because in my own experience as soon as you try to shift to the third one it is blocked due to cable tension being too much

if you dont check that the tube and pump will work on your bike in the shop how can you blame the LBS????

agteros most LBS's will ask what valve and or what size tube if you dont know what size or valve your bike takes and you failed to check if it would fit or not before you rode your bike it doesnt help blaming the LBS also i have a certain ritual after buying something new for my bike especially pumps and speedometers if i cant get it to work in my lounge by my own power i will call and ask someone that will know as johan said pre ride checks are important even though they take longer than actually getting onto your bike and riding it to the gate it is still imperitive to do them everytime you ride!!!
  8. in general TT bikes are heavier due to the extra weight involved with the extra surface area on the bikes for aerodynamics as for track bikes i am not too sure why but the most likely reason in my opinion would be to add strength to the bike so as to prevent any unwanted flex in the frames
  9. will defintely keep a look out for you on my second lap msbehavn the kermesse was small yesterday but i loved it almost crashed into msbehavn because of lack of oxygen to the eyes and brain causing a little bit of hallucination but all of us had fun and now that yyou have a bucket of our secret make yourself faster juice msbehavn you should not have any issues keeping up with us next time thanks to the organisers peter, thierry, gillian and mark and thanks to all the supporters that were there The race was fought out betwween 11 riders of which one was a lady (msbehavn) after a short couple of warm up laps the race went under way with the first lap being a neutral lap (decided by thierry) then it was down to business i attacked on the straight into the finish area and thierry Darrly Fox and another guy from velo cyling club got away setting the relentless pace from the begining i though i had a chance of riding away if my cornering went well but i misjudged a corner into the straight and lost a few bike lengths to the other three seeing as it was into a block headwind i tried my best to stay withion reach of them but just didnt have the legs so decided consistency would be the major draw card got caught by another two guys carl richardson and bryce hennesy but as we started catching up to the other three carl started taking strain eventually up in the front foxy attacked and bridged the gap all the way to the three of us where darryl and i shared the workload to get to the other two now lying in second and third in order to keep the [ace high darrly and i worked well together with darly doing monster turns up in front all while looking cool calm and collected (me on the other hand looking shattered) we then caught up to the other two guys and they decided to play a good game of cat and mouse deciding not to come to the front at all when the whistle was blown for darrly's last lap i told him he can peel off and make it a parade lap and as he did that i put the pace up again trying to split the bunch but to no avail on the whistle for our final lap Thierry threw down the gauntlet of an attack that left me cramping trying to get back to his wheel i then told bryce to go get him and the other dude followed bryce i watched thierry finish in a well deserved second place and the dude from velo finish in third bryce and myself finishing fourth and fifth respectively the ladies race was held over 20 minutes plus a lap and because all the other ladies were scared of msbehavn she literally ran away with the race from begining to the end all in all it was great fun and hope to see more hubbers in the future
  10. by the stage you have felt a dip in your performance it is too late one rule i will always remember is that when riding drink before you are thirsty and eat before you are hungry that way you are constantly hydrated and will never have any excess energy drink left over (unless you carry a 5l camelpack)
  11. the way FiT is formulated is that the carbo supreme is optimised with the use of the supa goo so neither one will replace the other they are supposed to be used in conjunction with each other to optimise performance and prevent unwanted "bonking" or dehydrating and that same thing goes for any use of gels and liquid drink one can not replace the other you do need both
  12. hey msbehavn was great to meet you hope you were not scared away congrats on your win and hope to see you again next weekend have an awesome one
  13. I would love one myself...especially seeing as my 305 was run over by a taxi, this morning
  14. the onl;y way the wheel could pop out is if he didnt tighten the QR skewer in the correct place for example on that recessed bit on the fork then because the QR was on the wrong place it had either one of two ways to go and unfortunately it didnt click into place it went the other way as in out also if my QR comes lose it feels as if my whole bike has a speed wobble and i can hear a knocking sound due to the axle going up and down in the dropout fair enough he is now paralised and it is not nice at all to be in that situation but how many other cases of this type of incident have happened anywhere else in the world?????????
  15. you can check it out yourself take any coin and tap lightly over the bits that you think might be cracked and if the tone changes then you have a crack if it doesnt you dont have one easy quick and if you still dont trust this version contact johan i am sure he will help you out

ok guys i agree with all of you and to be honest light is not always right for everyone the question i am asking is why do you want to put on weight do you feel unhealthy sluggish and need to eat at all times to keep awake or is it just so you can look buff??? i personally weighed 58kg last year at the bakwena and 57 by the next week at 94.7 but i felt tired all the time and hungry whenever my eyes were open i put on 7kg's in time for the argus and didnt perform as well as i would have liked to but i felt better i now am weighing at an average of 63 and even though i am not as fit as i was last year i am stronger and better on the bike and off so in my experience i didnt take anything like creatine or other weight suplements i just ate a little bit more than i burnt durin the day keeping it controlled enough so i didnt put on too much weight another thing you should be wary of is what kinds supplements you are using and how much are you using during your training to prevent a loss of electrolytes and phantom overtraining symptoms not saying that you didnt overtrain but maybe go to a dietician it will help you alot
