I wont be in the office today or tommorow to keep a eye or see if its worth going out as a group. It do not looks like a lot of people are interested. Therefor, this Idea has been cancelled from my side

I rode part of the gravel....Its sinkplaat. You will loose some fillings in your teeth, and its recommended you ride with a gumgaurd if you do it on a hardtail

What about Monday Morning, we go out on the routes, the guys will see the areas in day time and get the feel of the directions/roads surface etc?

Maruis, I though about that. A good time to start. I think we need to do a dry run to check if it works out. Next week got a Public Holliday , not sure if a lot of guys is going away (or doing long miles the Monday morning), but if we can give it a try on monday night, just to get the timing right, I dunno any suggestions? Its to long to wait for the April public days? I think ANDRAG is very central, but we need to be central enough for most to get from work, jump on the bike and get on time for the start 18H45 ??????? there is no difference in getting back home at 20h00 or 20h20 (the real benefit, you not going to indulge in a big supper that time of the night, and your weight will be under control during the winter months, even loosing a couple of kg's) At least the start time suits most?????? One rule, If the road is wet (rainy) we do not ride. Everyone knows when the noth wester is blowing. :-)

Tienie, I think we need to see the interest and determine the best meeting point. Andrag or Maybe at the 711 Friendly Store just before the D'Ville / Phisantekraal robot (on Fairtress Rd?) Than peaople can also park on the parking bay. Not sure, but we need to atart at one central place, otherwize everything gets confused Both got a nice yellow shoulder for going out or coming back The Bottlarey exit takes you inmeadiately onto the railway jeep track, towards eenzaamheid, all wide and save gravel road , to the top of Grand Prix Hill. From there, we can turn back Bottlary rd, or even go left (tar rd with the yellow line)towards the 4way (fruit sellers) stop, and back in Durbanville, also big yellow lines.

also remember, its not my group !!! the group should ride with or without me. Its just a normal MTB group riding tuesdays and thursdays I would say that the min riders per ride (seeing that it is dark) should be 6 or more. And the group should decide at the start (based on the wind direction etc) what route to do.

Like: 1) Go out from D'Ville, Bonne Mella, adderley, Malans hoogte, Tiekie draai back to D'ville 2) B'larey / Railway lines / Eenzaamheid / left to 4 way stop / phisantekraal back to D'Ville 3) Point 2 backwards 4) B'larey / Railway lines / Eenzaamheid / back B'Larey 5) B'Larey / Railway lines / Tygerberg ZOO / D'Ville About a 23-25km/h on the mtb's with lights
