If it means cramming 400 riders into a bunch because they need the road cleared for 42km ride... then in my mind thats a massive compremise on rider safety and the 42 should be reconsidered. Either they push the CoCT (who the CT Trust works hand in hand with) to get longer road use on the day or look for alternate day/route. I really hope im wrong but I cannot see this ending well in groups @ , & and A. 4 and 3min gaps are way to short for that bunch size.

sounds like the 42km is a burden to the overall event more than anything...

300 plus in any group is absolutely nuts!!! Checked out that @ and & list, there are some proper (2:40) and some sub3 hopefuls okes in there. Difference in index must be massive? Why the push to have everyone in 1 bunch? Given situation in past few races, has organisers lost their marbles? All we need now is another elite 5km neutral zone at 24km/hr and a possible 900 strong group...

How you feel about the 5 day format? From racing point its amazing and the route is proper. I feel like the open cat should probably be kept to 3 days? Also weather isn't looking amazing. Du toits is/was closed due to a severe fire. Cant see racing going up there in a few days?

Agreed, Joubert is in the form of his life. Lets see how well pritzen can go for the full week. Nortjie has show he can produce the goods... I think battle for red will be a cracker

apprently (directly from CT Trust member) they are quite overwhelmed by the entry numbers and even more so but the little bite on the short route.

Substitute rider to contact them to resolve... I had the same issue and was resolved in 5 mins. I was actually directed to normal entry portal (still able to enter and pay normal entry fee) and no option to enter released entery details. resolved and entered!
