  14. No way! Unless you want some serious cars see my post!! Keep it wet with antiseptic cream and let the body heal from the inside out!
  15. ps watch all the pros at the big events how they have plasters over their road rash nothing exposed to dry out!!!
  16. Contrary to all the comments above, please keep your road rash wet, use any antiseptic cream to keep it most and let the roastie heal from the inside out. Use a plaster that you can shower with & change the plaster every day. This way you can keep riding without the nasty scabs that form every time you bend your knee, this just causes more scare tissue to build up and takes longer to heal. Fool your body in thinking the skin is not broken and grazed, treat it like a burn wound. I've fallen more than once & I've tried every method possible contrary to what your parents told you when you were young!! DO NOT DRY IT OUT!!!!! my 5c worth any.......
  17. The pic above... Nino's looks like he is riding a 29er???

    Argus 2014

Off the topic of the Road Argus..Did anyone see the massive Billboard that gave us for the Argus MTB event!!! WTF is that all about!!
  19. I'm looking for photos of this evening please could someone send me the link thanks?
  20. Holy **** that's exactly where I crashed... 10 of us sucking on the gravel!!!
  21. I wonder if the event organisers actually road the gravel road themselves. Massive loose bits of loose gravel that I saw first hand when my head hit the gravel, and the excuse used that the over night rain had made it worse is bollocks. We the elite group hit that road at almost 50kmh. I was involved with a 10 bike pile up & it will cost me in excess of 20k to repair my bike, flesh repairs for free thanks goodness. I would never have ridden the race if I had know what a bad state the road was in. I feel that the race organisers should be held responsible for this. Our safety should come first.
