  1. Sterkte, Honk. That last line, there. Stick to it!!!
  2. yeah, in my ideal home, I have one of those or its bigger sister. http://www.homewoodstoves.co.nz/wp-content/uploads/matriarch05.jpg
  3. Beautiful piece of equipment, Patensie. Got my stamp of approval!!
  4. There are 2 types of people in the world. Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data
  5. That is actually a bloody accurate piece of art, in terms of its depiction of JC. Quieting / controlling the chaos.
  6. fake news. Eggs have existed for longer than chickens have. Their ancestors were laying them before chickens were even a species. Ergo, the first chicken egg was laid by something that was just not a chicken, or an intersectional species.
  7. yes, they have a store in Blouberg, behind the service station / milky lane on the corner.
  8. yes. Well, to begin with at least. When the fire is ready to cook on, it's all the same unless there's some smoking going on.
  9. yeeeeah, but didn't say you couldn't use wood... Not exaaactly the same result, sure. But close enough considering how much cheaper it is than a proper pizza oven.
  10. yyou can get a pizza stone / plate that you put in the weber. Far less cost, same results.
  11. They have 2 versions, both sub 2k. I went to the brand stable in Blouberg to try em on but they didn't fit my feet (high instep and wide forefoot) 2FO's are R 2,100 or so. Their SKITCH shoes are R 1,600 but don't have as much protection on the toe box. Cheapest 5-10's I've found are the freerider pro @ Pinned for R 2,100 or so but I can't fit in them anymore due to the different sizing since Adidas took over.
  12. WHY!? Those KTi's are beautiful. And yours is a great example.
  13. I've seen one of these in the flesh, and they are truly beautiful. For a hardtail.
  14. Sounds like the standard adenovirus. Adenoviruses are a group of viruses that can infect the membranes (tissue linings) of the respiratory tract, eyes, intestines, urinary tract, and nervous system. They account for about 10% of fever-related illnesses and acute respiratory infections in kids and are a frequent cause of diarrhea
  15. Correct. They can now detect editing of exercise sessions. Used to be a very easy workaround, and you can understand why it was done.
  16. Nope, don't do that. Too stiff for flats, and there's not enough meat around the mid-foot due to the cleat cavity. Instead of 5-10's (being pooooooes expensive) a pair of 2FO's or Ions will work. Or normal skate shoes.
  17. I refer to my weber as my "man oven". Once you get the hang of the different cooking techniques and how to use the vents properly, it becomes exceptionally useful. As for potjie - it's actually a simple thing. Min kole, but always going. Brown the onions and meat first, add liquid, let simmer for x hours and then add veggies from the longest cooking (rooot veg) to the shortest cook time being on the top. Never stir the pot, apart from when you're browning the meat initially and when it's ready (to ensure even distribution of meat and veg, cos people generally suck at serving themselves out the potjie when it's still layered) Also never do it riiiight to the top, otherwise when people serve it'll go everywhere. Top up liquid with your chosen poison every hour or so.
  18. for a running shoe, that's an okay tread for flats. Generally you don't want much tread, or a very closely-spaced tread and constant, so that the pins can actually grip into the sole.
