  1. Holy fkn **** Gulp. Distance: 47km Ascent: 1,823m Descent: 1,827m That's 50% more than I've ever done. Gonna be interesting for sure!!!
  2. Yeah, that too. But it's a caricature. Same as how bush and Prince whatsisface is caricatured as small headed with dumbo ears. Is caricature of black people now offensive?
  3. Definitely not, unless I know they fit properly. Case in point. Needed new skoene. Had a pair of 5-10 frreriders in 12 that fit perfectly. Options: Freerider: no stock of 12 anywhere Freerider pro: smaller cut than old (pre Adidas) freerider therefore no bueno Ion: size 12 doesn't fit, had to wait 3 weeks for a test pair Spaz: size 12 2FO is juuuust too small with the innersole in. Without the innersole, perfect fit. If there had been a size 12 freerider (non pro) in stock locally, I'd have bought it online. Otherwise, with my strange foot (high instep and wide forefoot) there's no chance I am buying online.
  4. Mainly cos Naomi has been blondified, it seems. On which they have a point.
  5. Erm... look at it again. Any manual set out like that deserves fire and brimstone.
  6. In your case you'll most likely have to stump for a stem in the 100mm range to make it fit. Not ideal, but it's what you'll have to do if you're looking at a "cheap" hardtail, as they're mostly in that measurment range at the moment, unfortunately. If you were looking at a full susser, and had a budget of 30-40k we'd be able to find you a bike that fitted properly. For example - the Scott Spark XL has a 655mm top tube and 470mm reach. With a 70/80mm stem you would be okay on that.
  7. Absolutely. makes a huge difference. That GT top tube measurement is shorter than my bike's top tube by 40mm and I'm 1.8m. My normal approach to stem length is that if you need to run a stem longer than 70mm you're on a bike that's too small for you, for particularly that reason you highlight above. Gives you such a bad position for confidence when pointing down unless your skills enable you to overcome that. You will NOT be comfortable on the GT. far too small for you. Finish en kla. As for that "extra extra large" Merida... How the heck is that considered XXL?! Only measurement I can see that warrants that is the set tube measurement. Everything else is in large / xl territory.
  8. Focus, yet don't focus, on the designation of frame size. One company's large is another's XL. Check the geo on both, then decide.
  9. LOL! And cool, so through Julian then. Nice wheels, those. Very nice.
  10. This To replace this (which is coming up for sale at a bargain price, soon - FANTASTIC piece of kit!) And this To do this and these... to replace those rather sorry looking things, which DEFINITELY aren't Ezel-proof Thanks to the sale of an old shock, an older shock, and some other unexpected income. #Prepping4ezel.
  11. med aid, now that you know how state hospitals make you wait? That's the broker in me talking. Now, for the biker. YYEEEEEUUUUUWW!! Nice one! Online, from their USA portal?
  12. Dude... https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/57 https://imgur.com/gallery/kLWgP About 5/7 refers to a rating for the 1999 drama film Fight Club shown in a Facebook status update attributed to user Brendan Sullivan. 13. not nearly as nice as the IONs I can't fit into...
  14. Watched Braven last night. Excellent movie. A solid 5/7.
  15. I'll leave that to Sheldon and Penny. And no, he doesn't. Definitely not.
  16. Always. She's taken to hiding under my bed. Lightie isn't exactly quiet, and after living with a bunch of oldies the new sounds and smells are a bit overwhelming. Was expected, and I was really surprised how easily she settled in with just me.
  17. That's a good one. They don't even tell their BC's (Broker Consultants) until the day of the launch, at the same time as we get the info. Launch should be soon. Momentum have just notified us of their function.
  18. Until you hit iron monkey and status quo. Armageddon and red I agree with you, but it'll change soon enough.
  19. I already know how a coil feels cos I have a kage on there now. Getting the ccdb later this week. Omg the dials. At the moment I whack the LSC closed and it climbs pretty well. But can imagine the ccdb makes it just that much better
  20. Ooooh.. I'm getting one one of those soon. To go on my green machine.
  21. But anyway. This is the "bikes for Enduro" thread, and the Scott ticks all the boxes. Good for climbing thanks to that twinloc wizardry and then beast mode on the downs.
