  1. No, it's a lot of people having linkage problems. Smart that they launched it now to iron out all the bugs that probably didn't show up in testing...
  2. Update on the points for Rewards when you've hit your max fitness allocation for the year, direct from Discovery: I hope that you are well. The functionality is available. Clients events still count towards their goals for Active Rewards even if they have reached their Fitness maximum points. Kindly send me the clients membership number or policy number so that I can investigate it further for you. Take care and have a great day further.

  5. LOL. Why do you think I'm buying a new drivetrain?! JK. I have the bug.
  6. yeah, I would. I'll put the link up once I've advertised everything. Still thinking on individual pricing. Gotta see what you can get them for online before posting stupid numbers
  7. For those interested... just about to advertise my drive train. I know this isn't the right place, but thought I'd let you okes know before I put it up. SLX brakes (ex rotors) SLX shifters (front 2x rear 10sp, i-spec) XT shadow plus RD (Long cage) SLX fd (direct mount) KMC chain (with spare quicklink) Praxis 11-40 cassette Everything is in EXCELLENT condition. Less than 350km on it all (less on thr cassette and chain as that was only put on in september) haven't ridden much and my loops are 15km max, mostly downhill. Looking for R4,500 for all of it.
  8. oh, they're working... woah. Codeine and anti inflammatories. Far prefer codeine by itself. No wooziness, just a gentle buzz... With the anti inflams, it's a zombie-making cocktail.
  9. LOL. Nothing would have stopped THAT one. Apart from a tighter stem. And properly inflated tyres. Maybe... EDIT: I was simply due a crash. Had been too long.
  10. LOL. You're actually not far from the truth. It's a behavioural model brought over from their UK Vitality arm, where they've been doing this short term incentive scheme with Starbucks for the past 2 years. People are far more likely to change their behaviour if they are incentivised with short term rewards (in this case, in the form of coffee or a smoothie) This in turn changes claim stats, because the population (or, rather, the client base) changes their health more than they would have done if the rewards were 5-yearly or annually (as is the case with the Discovery life Payback benefits - directly linked to Vitality Status) People are strange beings. You see a massive uptick in activity as soon as the goal is seen as "achievable" Steps, for instance - you get a LOT of people at 0-7,000 steps per day. If the goal is, say, 10,000 - you get far less people in the 7,000 - 10,000 range, as they do just that little bit more to get over the goal for the day, especially if it results in a reward...
  11. LOL. The other post on the apple watch was taken from the OTHER vitality thread, so not entirely his fault for being lazy...
  12. And yes - up to 100% off flights and gym, depending on how many goals you achieve via the Vitality Awards thing. Free Flights thing still requires you to pay taxes, and will not be an up front saving, rather depending on how many goals you hit running up to the time of the flight. Only thing is that you have to book the flight a certain time in advance, and hit a min of 4 goals before the flight to get an additional discount
  13. From said consultant: Hi Myles. As far as I as aware it should still be allocated even if you're on your max points. Let me confirm with Vitality and get back to you. Thanks
  14. *this is from next year Not sure how the points are pulling through for the rewards this year, or if they're still allocating. I suspect they SHOULD be, but not entirely sure. That was one question I didn't ask, but now will...
  15. For the purposes of the app & smoothies etc, even if you have reached your max fitness points you will still get "Goal Points" allocated for each activity. This is from next year. At the moment it's still running on this year's Vitality points rules.
  16. Jaco, read my posts here before you give up on it, please. I've gone through this numerous times.
