  1. Oh, yes. It needs the RAD cage for clearance. Short cage won't work with a wide ratio 1x setup cos the spread is too wide...
  2. Stiffer spring, better chain retention. No idea.
  3. easiest thing is to mail them at vitalityinfo@discovery.co.za they're pretty busy at the moment, but if anything they;ll retrospectively allocate teh points for you if you're still having trouble after tomorrow midnight (which is the cutoff for last week's activities to be synced)
  4. What level are you on Multiply? Have you requested your life premiums to be adjusted downwards? Private Club members get I think 60% reduction on their premiums. May have changed recently ,but that's at last assessment.
  5. I do, and would, but my faculties aren't 100% here at the moment. I'm on a course of codeine and anti inflammatories after my crash on friday. Have a look at the Team Vitality thread. Lots of useful info there. Joining fee for gym is i thin R 1,260 then you pay R 130 for the card. "Up to" means that if you go to gym 36 or more times per rolling 12 months, your discount is 80% (moves to 75% next year) and if you go less than 36 times per year it moves to 50% discount (this is for a single gym membership) Next year you can get up to 100% off a single gym membership based on various things like activity, vitality status etc. So it becomes far more of a value proposition. The discounts on fitness watches through the SW etc are maxed at 25% or R 500 per quarter (for a single member) and R 1,000 per quarter (for a family) so it is not the WHOLE cost that gets discounted. Some have been lucky and received 25% discount on the whole cost of the item, but I think that loophole has closed. Healthy Food - 25% off at WW OR PnP, IF you do the health checks @ clicks / dischem and fitness assessment through a biokeniticist at VA or one of the Vitality Labs. If not, you get 10% off until you do those. Same with the SW discounts (HealthyGear, they call it) Other benefits - up to 100% off flights with Kulula (excl taxes) from next year, travel discounts and and and... I'll post more when I can. Oh. Also. Next year it's going to be easier to get points through exercises that aren't registered with SA Active or are a nationally recognised thing with a timing chip. IE: where currently there is a max of 200 points for any activity recorded through a garmin / fitbit / polar etc with HR data, next year it will increase and will be awarded according to the duration and intensity of the exercise. As long as you record HR data...
  6. Oh. It was my first proper stack in about 4 years... was due.
  7. Would solve a couple things (not having any more kids) but no. Just what happens when you hit and then slide for about 3m
  8. Yeah, luckily the dirt is dusty as hell so it came off under the tap at the bottom of the trail. The shower hurt like hell
  9. Oh. That's a new shirt I put on. One I was wearing was ripped in quite a few places
  10. Update. Ribs are DEFINITELY bruised at a minimum. Doc couldn't see any cracks but the radiologist is in this morning and having a look. Most painful they've ever been, and I've bruised them quite a bit. Arms are suuuper sore. Pics don't do it justice though. Ray wasn't running his gopro so unfortunately no footage. Bike is absolutely fine
  11. All fine. Sprained right hand, bruised ribs, bruised jaw (upper area where the jaw joins the skull) and a chin the size of... And a fat lip Lol Adcodol, anti inflams and valium for sleep. Now just to clean with savlon.
  12. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/153242-mto-trails-jonkershoek-an-update-on-jonkershoek/page-8?do=findComment&comment=2753986
  13. Today, I purchased dirt at hoogekraal. Pretty spectacularly I hear. Front wheel rotated on landing (bars stayed straight, stem must have been a bit loose) tyre folded and nothing I could do. Took it on the chin. X rays now just in case
  14. Will try it out. I have a tea strainer jobbie magafter at home, so it'll be fine.
