  1. And what bearing does that have on it? The relationship is being played up cos it seems as if they're bosom buddies... Whether Rossi's is with someone who isn't on the startline has no bearing at all...
  2. Not necessarily... According to some sources, the Duc was a total and utter bodge-job by the time Stoner left. If you remember, he gradually started winning less and less, and Rossi (who it must be said has EXTENSIVE experience on pretty much everything) could not get it to behave. Now if a guy who rode the infamous 500 2 stroke bangers couldn't get it to behave, then the question has to be asked: what was wrong with it by the stage that Stoner left? It seemed as if the balance was just TOTALLY off...
  3. Not as many times as Vale did after him... Bloody hell, that thing was a dog.
  4. Scotland is in Britain. Britain is the Empire (Great Britain) comprising Ireland, Wales, England and Scotland... So yes, he is a British Twat
  5. And the plane blowing up?! But yeah... its mega good. Back to the original calibre
  6. Very #Enduro©® Or is it #DownDuro now. #UpnDownDuro. #EndurBro & #EndurVrou?
  7. No clue, tbh. It's one of the new ones. EDIT: No. Neverending is the Blue trail. Still there. Red Phoenix is, well, red. But I reckon it's also a blue ito difficulty. Trail Development Update: All trails stemming from The Waterfall Trail Head are almost complete. We hope they open late this coming week or early the week after. This is dependent on the arrival of signage and the completion of the Red Line. Bennet is about 400 meters from it's completion meaning the Trail Head located high-up where Neverending Story starts. Most of us are familar with the Blue Line (Neverending Story), which is an excellent trail. The Red Line will enable even higher speed with many cool features for those with the skills to take them (optional). The Black Line is really a different trail to what we have known in Jonkershoek and many other areas; very technical we recommend only long travel bicycles and the usual protective gear. Be patient ... the trails will officially open soon.
  8. To a degree, I also think he's ridden inside his limits - not pushed it super duper hard, because he knows that he has a certain limit and MUST maintain his consistency. Points matter more than anything else. No use pushing past your capacity or to the maximum when the rewards aren't worth it... I also think that, this next race, we'll see what Rossi can REALLY do...
  9. I'd recommend staying off the black. Red Phoenix should be fine with a hardtail unless your name is Norman NoSkills... Apparently it's like Fire Hut was, but steeper and faster. Fire Hut was a VERY flowy trail... Absolutely sublime though. I wouldn't go near the Black trail on a hardtail unless you had tons of skill. Even then, probably not advisable.
  10. ****, this whole article makes me wanna ride!!! https://www.bikehub.co.za/features/_/articles/routes-trails/trail-daze-jonkershoek-rising-from-the-ashes-r3723?source=topic
  11. Looking at those pics, it seems that the Black trail will be LOADS of fun. Only thing I'm not reaaaally comfortable with are the gaps and such. Will definitely be giving it a once over when it's open!
  12. Me too... I need a bag or six. Looks like the black could be HELLUVA fun - LOVE those rocky sections. Will definitely scope it out when it's open.
  13. It's a style borne of dirt tracking - like Stoner's style.
  14. Both... As for over-riding the Honda, not so sure. Have a look at how Pedrosa is performing at the moment. Yes, he's like 30 kilos lighter than everyone else, but still...
  15. NVM... MotoGP has finalised engine and software rules for its 2016 regulation change, with an increase to seven engines per season but development frozen and concessions for struggling teams adjusted. After several years of a split between Factory and Open (formerly CRT) rules, the field will be unified when a control ECU is introduced from next season. Motorcycle racing's governing body, the FIM, announced that the spec electronics will be based on the version used in the Open class at present. Should Ducati, Honda and Yamaha all agree unanimously on a change to the ECU between July this year and the end of 2016, the FIM will permit it provided the manufacturers bear the cost. Conversely any changes to the ECU requested by the organisers cannot take place without unanimous agreement from the three leading manufacturers. The current limit of five engines per rider per season before penalty changes to seven, with a fuel limit of 22 litres per race and development still frozen. The system under which manufacturers who have not won since the start of 2013 benefit from fuel, testing and tyre use allowances - rules breaks that Ducati and Suzuki currently receive - is retained but adjusted to become a 'concession points' system. Three concession points are earned for a win, two for second and one for third place - allowing teams benefiting from concessions that achieve success to steadily lose their advantages. "In 2015 a manufacturer achieving three concession points in dry races must immediately reduce fuel tank capacity from 24 litres to 22 litres," said an FIM statement. "In 2016 a manufacturer achieving six concession points in dry or wet conditions will immediately lose the right to test with contracted riders and will lose all concessions from the following season." But the system will also be used to give concession back to teams that achieve poor results. The statement added: "With effect from the 2016 season, any manufacturer who gains no concession points, (effectively meaning no podium places), will benefit from the full package of concessions in the following season." The FIM also clarified that the present rule under which concession-benefiting teams lose their softer-tyre and extra testing permissions if they win three grands prix in dry conditions remains in place.
  16. I personally don't think he's the fastest. I still think MM is faster, IF he can control himself. That's one mighty big if, though. On a clean set of tyres, with a clear road ahead of him, maybe JL is slightly faster. Maybe. BTW - what are the new rules? In a nutshell...
  17. LOL. I wonder if they'll just drop JL. That would be sweet, sweet justice. Make him go to a honda satellite team, or better yet, Suzuki...
  18. Maybe Pedrosa could go to Yammie... But then, wasn't Crutchlow supposed to be getting a factory seat sometime soon?
  19. Zero respect now for him. Is this SERIOUSLY how he wants to win it!?
  20. yeah, I know... I had a pair on the bike I had previously (bastards) and the SLX's that these will replace are good, but not anything compared to the Guides.
