  1. Dig this pic... http://www.amam-magazine.com/valuev.jpg
  2. I was going to say "nice" or "awesome" or some I was going to say "nice" or "awesome" or "good choice" Then I saw the fit onan actual person. No. Just... no.
  3. My takeaway from that... The nine-times world champion says the events of recent weeks have not dampened his enthusiasm for the sport and revealed he will make a decision on whether or not to continue racing in 2017 next season. “For sure, my dream was to fight for the championship and after a very good season I can fight, but I will try to fight in a normal situation,” said Rossi. “For the rest, this situation doesn't modify my passion or my thinking of the future. I will race next year because I have already a contract and during next year a lot of things will change [tyres, ECU] and maybe change also the level; after I will decide if continue or not.”
  4. In coastal provinces, yes. Wouldn't be right for you. If you do go to coastal and have an elective procedure in Jozi, DH will only pay 75% of the discovery health rate as opposed to 100%
  5. Gap cover isn't for out of hospital stuff, it's for the gap between the med aid payment rate and the amount specialists charge in hospital, which often goes up to 500% of the discovery health rate (and other med aid rates) Without knowing you, I'd actually suggest downgrading to essential or coastal (depending on your location) and add Gap Cover. Less cost, more cover.
  6. TBH, unless you go through more than R 50k per year on out of pocket expenses (day to day) or have one of the chronic conditions that aren't covered by the 27 on Coastal Saver, or you're not on the cancer benefit and claiming for biologicals, this is the best option for most people. Edit: Coastal Saver & Gap cover, that is.
  7. Generally speaking, that's the best way to do things - no use selling something that will provide an income after death if you don't have kids / wife etc (for example) However - what you say about the broker explaining things properly - 100%. That's why we get paid commission - to help you understand what you have, and advise you as to the best fit. Some people just sell one size fits all stuff, or chase the commission without a thought of what they're selling. TCF (Treating Customers Fairly) is (hopefully) going to change some of that, but it will be a while before wholesale change comes around. As for not taking the time to understand what you signed - yes and no. You asked someone to cover a very specific set of criteria and, regardless of who the broker is, they're supposed to ensure the best possible fit given the products they have access to and your allocated budget. If something doesn't fit, they have to explain why, and how it may affect you down the line... Even the most "educated" clients (we get them more and more often now - millennials, who do tons of research themselves) don't actually know what they don't know. And it's a shock to them when we actually walk them through some of the stuff they wanted to put together themselves, and indicate how it actually may not be a good idea to structure things in the way that they thought they should... Sounds like you got royally shafted though... I see it very very often, and nothing makes me madder than seeing people who are so deep in something that I can't do anything to fix it...
  8. They won't if you're on a Core plan, unless you've already been admitted to hospital for something. IE: You've been diagnosed with cancer, they book you in for an MRI scan to see how bad it is. If you come in as an outpatient to have an MRI scan, or are admitted JUST to have an MRI / CT / Xray as part of an investigative procedure, they won't cover it. IE: You have back pain, and you are booked in to see if there is anything there. One is related to a procedure that has been pre-authorized and you're already on the benefit, the other is a pure investigation. In order to have full cover for MRI / CT scans, you need to be on a plan with day to day benefits. Or their new option, launching next year. I think Momentum are the only guys who pay for investigative MRI / CT scans on plans that don't have any day to day coverage.
  9. lol. Yeah. Indeed... It was a turdish move from WhoreGay though
  10. LOL. Fair enough, mate. Then I'm afraid you're stuck. Until the firm decides to either make it non compulsory (which would affect new employees negatively) or changes to a new med aid... They could of course make an amendment in the compulsory nature of the scheme, saying a certain subset of employees is excluded from the compulsory status of the med aid, but not many companies are prepared to do that. Too much paperwork.
  11. Lurch - is your wife on there as well? One way to get out of a group scheme is by joining your spouse's med aid. If she is on it, she can elect to leave and join her own med aid (the compulsory nature of the med aid wouldn't extend to your OH) and then you follow her across once it's up and running...
  12. There's a reason we no longer deal with them and advise people against joining them. Them, and Medihelp. Goodness, no...
  13. Absolute rubbish. Fedhealth are very expensive for what they are. Momentum are the closest to Discovery ito benefits, and beat them in certain places. Bonitas ARE good, and they have great benefits. However, Disco is by far the easiest to deal with on a day to day basis...
  14. Nah, I reckon Cal just uses EVERYONE'S settings...
  15. How is using your team mate's data "morally wrong"? It's a single, factory team. Yes, there are different mechanical teams and so on, but it's not unethical or immoral to share data or to use it to understand where / how you could improve on a setting... Especially when it's in a single manufacturer stable and they're continually trying to develop the bike, and hold on to the top 2 spots. It's not as if they snuck into the trailer at night and stole telemetry data from another factory. Jeepers, SK. You really really do hate the guy, don't you?
  16. Again, you come in with that. According to the pit crews themselves, they share data all the time. It's hardly "stealing" data, and it's hardly underhanded. You make it sound like espionage. The wall was because they wanted to segregate tehmselves psychologically, but also because of the Michelin / Bridgestone tyre sponsorships and the 2 tyre providers not wanting to give too much away... Look here... http://www.cycleworld.com/2015/08/10/behind-the-scenes-yamaha-motogp/ EDIT: It would be utterly STUPID of Yamaha not to allow the sharing of data between 2 riders, in order to gain the maximum benefit from their investment in the sport. Utterly, utterly stupid.
  17. Could work. You're probably having trouble with the vigi due to the lower volume. They're reportedly a VERY good tyre. For when the Vigi wears out, I'd suggest an Onza Canis / Schwalbe Rock Razor for the rear...
  18. Rolling resistance should be of least concern out in the front. Rear, yeah. Front - GRIPPPPPP!!! Having said that, it rolls pretty darn well.
