  1. Jeepers. I still firmly believe that the yellow zone should have been extended to the entry of the corner as well. It's pointless to have it start halfway through a corner.
  2. Lift off oversteer - very dangerous and very difficult if not impossible to control. Especially when going as fast as that, in those conditions
  3. Okay in principle, but it could have catastrophic consequences as a result of the drastic change in speeds when drivers aren't expecting it, unless it's a driver initiated slowdown. The thing with pit lane limitations is that everyone knows you have to slow down by THAT line. On the circuit it'd be an imaginary line somewhere between the 2 zones, or at the beginning of the next zone. There are just too many variables to enable that to become an appropriate measure, and imo Vic has (as per normal) not thought it through before he suggested it... Imo this was a freak accident and the yellow zone should have extended to the entry of the corner as well as the exit... you can't really initiate a slowdown in those conditions halfway through a corner... I could be completely wrong, of course, but I don't think it'd be a solution to the problem that presented itself here.
  4. Dude, it hurt my brain. Not because of the content, but due to the constant switch between good grammar and something resembling fish soup. At times, I had to re-read a sentence thrice over in order to determine the correct sequence of adverbs, vowels and adjectives.
  5. BAHAHAHAHA!!! Love this quote If you think Ferrari’s in bother now then subtract Alonso’s personal contribution and you’ve got bother being something you flashed past a while ago as you are stranded in your runaway handcart.
  6. Not much anymore - by the looks of things, the rest of it was taken down by multiple landslides and used to serve that jetty / landing / whatever at the bottom.
  7. I like it, but I don't think it would have made one jot of difference in this instance...
  8. NICE! You may want a slightly smaller front wheel as well, if you're going to put proper knobblies on...

  10. NICE!!! Always liked those DRZ's. Is that the specific one you're getting, or did you get the SM?
  11. Normal, non compression socks, pantihose or some such item masquerading as a compression sock, I'd imagine...
  12. I can only imagine he saw Rider 5 going off and decided it was a bit above his pay grade. You see how he was slamming anchors!?
  13. Also, Pieter - that site shows up NOWHERE under Google, Bing or any other search engine, other than in things like this... https://www.scamwarners.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&p=216079 mmediate Shipping 209C Queen's Road Watford WD17 2QH#216079 by HannahsDad Sun Aug 24, 2014 3:28 pm Immediate Shipping at http://www.immediate-shipping.co.uk http://i1306.photobucket.com/albums/s567/HannahsDad2012/ImmediateShipping_zpse5a373a2.jpg Immediate Shipping 209C Queen's Road Watford, Hertfordshire WD17 2QH United Kingdom Europe Domain registered 18th July 2014, anonymously, for 1 year only
  14. Pieter - walk away. 1 reason - Western Union Money Transfer. As soon as you send the cash, it's GONE. No way to retrieve it. If they were a reputable 3rd party service provider they'd allow you to pay via Paypal, or give you their SWIFT bank codes so you could do an international transfer to their COMPANY details. Right now they're asking you to transfer R 36k to a private individual. Walk away. Quickly. Secondly - Truck Delivery?! To Johannesburg? From the UK!? in 3 to 5 days? No. Just, no. In addition - a reputable 3rd party handling company would not nominate a private "agent" to collect the money from Western Union on their behalf. This entire thing just stinks, from the "Dear Sir" opening to the Western Union payment request to the way that the emails have been written and sent, from both the "seller" and the "trusted 3rd party"
  15. I know, right!? I have to say - that is the ultimate way to have an off.
  16. yeah. One thing I will say though, is this - I'm going to be wearing my full face helmet far more often now. I don't care if I look goofy or not. On 3 of those stacks, there would have been facial damage if there weren't a full face lid. One oke lost the insert on his chin-piece, so he literally would have eaten it had he been using a normal helmet.
  17. Only if you land horribly wrong. This weekend we (6 of us) went to Paarl and G Spot. Of the 6, 4 crashed. One BADLY. On a huuuuge double rock drop (drop, 2m further on DROP) and went OTB, landing on his kop on the rocks below. Definite concussion, and some lekker roasties on his back, but nothing broken. The other 3 - 1 hugged a tree, 1 washed out on a corner and another just lost the front on landing a jump. None of them had any injuries. So yeah, there's the potential to land and injure yourself. But as Kelly McGarry showed here - the human body is remarkably resilient and far tougher than we give it credit for.
