Now that you mention a cycle shop , I grew up in the Roodepoort area. There was (is ) a small cycle shop in the dorpie.....guess what " Cajees ". Sold them my old Dikwiel to have enough money to go to Durbs with my Ouboet and his friends. Dad nearly killed me and forced me to get it back. The old Oom at the shop , with his white beard and pajama clothes ( sorry to those that may feel offended ) was less impressed. I somehow helped with the growth of Cajees to this multi branch group.

Why do some cars ( I noticed VW & BMW ) " bark " from pull-off . I have googled same , but I'm still not sure . Is it the turbo waste-gate letting off some pressure , preventing the turbo from spinning to fast. Is it harmfull for the motor . Find it irritating and windgat.

The prick motorist could at least thank the biker!!!!! ( BMW bike ....Black Male Weapon )

Not sure . Each site had it's own scullery. Was on the foot of the " hill ". Was there during a rainy season ( in the Cape ?? ) and stones were cascading with the rain water at some sections.

Not really the appropriate thread , but we camped in a caravan park in Bellville some 30 years ago. Virtually right behind the park was/is a huge deep hole ( unfenced ) , too deep for a quarry hole. Any idea what was " mined " there ?
