    Who remembers?

For the guys......do you remember , as a schoolboy , carrying your Joseph Rogers in one pocket and an FL in the other pocket . One was seldom used and the other never.

Remember when they got soaked ?? Like kicking a dead cat. ( To the sensitive guys , I have never kicked a cat , dead or alive ).
  3. Still dreaming to own one of these. One of the oddities of these bikes , is them leaning to the right? when the motor picks up revs.

You could ask BS . Still on the waves. Most irritating person on radio.
  7. Sorry, not car porn, but a tech question. I am replacing the harmonic balancer ( crank pulley, as we used to call it ) , costing over R4000 , on my VW Syncro. Now the question....do I grease or Loctite the new stretch bolt screwing into the crank ?
  8. For some reason it reminds me of a Prada handbag .
  9. Her instructor said she should keep her eye in.
  10. I didn't recognise it as a Ford at first. Tried to read the name plate. Looks like "FAKE".

  16. I need to replace the 13mm chuck on my makita portable drill. It started slipping/unlocking. Tried a Tork Craft....waste of time and money. Any recommendations? Btw, bought an AEG portable drill from swop shop (new ). Can't say I was disappointed , as I did not expect much. Thought I could use the chuck if drill not OK. Chuck slips anyway!
  17. Re Reminds me of a Buell. Liked the looks. Not sure how it performs.
  18. Misquoted. Dicks played for Arse'n-all.
  19. Have a BMW helmet. Noisy as hell from 100kph onwards. Bought it some years ago. Sales lady had no product knowledge. Was more interested in selling me a rain suit.
  20. Reminds me of the time Valiant station wagons were used to trek north during the Easter weekends.
  21. Thank the gods that the chances of being attacked by a punk wearing a hoodie and wielding a spatula , are very slim.
  22. Hey Dad, let us in . It is freezing out here !
  23. Quite a coincidence. I too have been/are using Mercedes Benz pallets for cladding . Have used raw linseed as a water repellant coat . Happy with results.Still have to stand the test of time i.r.o. performance. Btw, those pallets are a bitch to dismantle. Also, the temple art. is great.
  24. I have never liked the burning of wood for affect. Maybe I have never seen anything decent. (Limited to amateur SA Pine attempts, in braai areas , etc.) Does burning of the surface preserve the wood .
  25. I apologize for any negatives expressed in respect of the owner of these stunning cars. However, I am still not impressed with the production of this TV programme. I intend visiting Nampa next year and , if open to the public , have a look at this collection.
