  1. Started cycling at the beginning of the year at trailseeker 1 and did all 5. Hakahana was definately the toughest by far! Did the first 31km in 2 hours (and that's where the fight started). The last 8km took me an hour with all the cramping! I guess all that cramp block I was swallowing didn't help me... Any suggestions on what else I can try to prevent cramping?
  2. thats a pitty! I was counting on those rocks to slow you down...
  3. Linkin park day... will join in on the next one
  4. Just got another seeding email moving me to G for the half marathon! Seriously uncool!
  5. is there a table for this race like the one that was posted for VG on how to check your starting batch using your saseeding index?
  6. have you guys goy your seeding mail already?
  7. Cant wait for this one! VG was a cracker! I have the same expectations for this event!
  8. were the usual Photomarx guys there? I only saw a guy in a tree witha video camera... (40km) If so where can we find the pictures, could be funny with me not knowing they were there...
  9. Hats off to the organizers as mentioned already! Smiles all round for me today! I dropped to The H batch to ride with mates, the numbers in the batch was perfect! For H there were only two or three spots where we had to stop and wait for under a minute for guys to cross a river. No issues with the H batch on passing, they see/hear you coming and move to the left as quick as the can. I look forward to the next one, well done on raising the bar! The shirt is an awesome item for the goodie bag and spike at the end instead of in the goodie bag was a good move! Best event trail seeker for 2012 by far! Keep up the great work!
  10. Has anyone got their T-shirt? Im interested to see if they are cool as well as if its a lucky draw system for sizes or if you can choose your size...
  11. Bike and kit sittting in my office in hope the weather plays its part for tonight. Is the ride happening?

  13. The temptation is there!
  14. The last one was brilliant! Will be back again with a possible two mates. Will pm when everyone has confirmed.
  15. That exact shoe is from sportsmansbasement for R999,00. I am just not sure how good the brand is and the fastening system?
  16. Is anyone familiar with the brand I posted earlier (Lake)? As well as the system those shoes use to fasten (Heel Mounted Push/Pull BOA lacing system with powerzone in the forefoot)? If so please can I have your opinion.
  17. I have a feeling a deal like this is to good to be true Due to size... Im a 10, Im guessing converted thats 44?
  18. I have a bit of a wide foot as well, was keen on SIDI. will try some but wont get my hopes up for a comfy fit..
  19. Sierra looks awesome. Im guessing the reason for my current shoes breaking (besides for being from MrPrice) might have something to do with the amount of water they have been used in... Im thinking staying away from the velcro strap shoes might be a good idea?
  20. I am not familiar with this fastening system. any good? looks cool. Upper: Full grain leather and mesh with a molded, vented heel counter. Outsole: Lake Race 100% Carbon Fiber Sole with Mountain Race X real rubber sole with Mudstuds. Closure: Heel Mounted Push/Pull BOA lacing system with powerzone in the forefoot.
  21. The occasional dabbing, not much walking...
  22. The ones I have are MrPrice shoes as I wasnt sure if I was going to get back into riding or fade out again so I didnt want to spend more than the R399 then haha... but 6months (just over 1000km) later the metal loop for the top strap has pulled through the "leather" so it is time to buy some decent entry level shoes if those two words dont clash.. Thanks for the link.
  23. Hi All, Please help out, I need to buy new MTB shoes as the ones I have were cheapies and only lasted 6months... I am on a budget so I am looking to spend between R500,00 and R1000,00. Please could you help out with shoes within that price range as well as shops I should try calling. Thanks
  24. Myself and a mate will be attending, which trail will we be riding?
