I'm always down for groenies&fountains, I need to go find my name on those small jumps that put me to sleep. Haha I am seriously considering doing the night ride at modders with mates that night just for fun and then doing a 40km event on the Sunday. Sounds to be a good weekend, three rides and then 5days of chilling before hill2hill.

How's the cap looking? Still contemplating entering the 45.

I also have a seeding problem, I have been seeded for the 40km but should be in the 10km...

You should be able to register your board on the day, I need to do this as well. The previous events have had an early registration on race day.

Snap! I looked down at one point and was doing 34kmph. got to confident on the first three and gave number four my all! The front wheel slipped out from under me on landing and I woke up 20-25m from the jump hahaha. Looking at how far I slid in the loose rock and sand I got off lightly with a few scrapes and bruises. My helmet however did not live to tell the tale.

At Groenkloof.

Decided to test out my new bike on a few small jumps at 35ish kmph. The first three were awesome and the fourth, well... not so much haha! lost the front on landing and decided to take a nap on the dirt. Came off lightly with a few scratches and bruises thanks to my helmet!

kingskloof is on my to do list asap it sounds awesome! awaiting the arrival of my new helmet after saturdays ride at Groonies...

hence why I am on a hunt for this tyre! it is awesome, I find I have to keep it at a low pressure (1.8 bar) otherwise it tends to start boucing around on rock at high speeds!

I quite enjoy the Conti Mountain King 2.4 on the front. I find it rolls nicely and grips the dirt like dog k@k to a shoe! The problem I have is I cant seem to find them apparently they have been discontinued.. Does anyone know where one could buy a few? (the cheaper the better!)

Anyone keen on another ride at modders on Sunday at 7am? Would like to get some slow pedal time in. Slow being +/- 10kmh average.

Saturday I'm also at trailseeker, Sunday seems free tho! Bare in mind I say I'm down for VG however I'm a "fat and lazy" I mean "slow and unfit rider"... I'll get to the top eventually and I'd like to say ill be on your tail on the down hills! Haha

Before we know it well be planning a year in advance!

I stay in the east and try ride Groenies once a week. Worth the petrol! Will be there at 8am on Saturday for a slow social ride with 3-4 mates. Havnt been into fountains for a while so that's on the cards as well!

Thanks for the comments guys, apprecite the input. just waiting for the bike to get here from Durban on friday and will "break her in" at the trailseeker next weekend.
