I must say I agree with you here. I don't think the problem here was if he was ALLOWED or NOT. For sure a suspended rider can ride a non sanctioned event, but for some it looks like he is showing the cycling community the middle finger. (that is where I am at) So in this free society we also have the right to think and say that someone is acting like a box. It is not taking the "high" ground, it is freedom to say what you want. If someone text and drive, I have the right to say he is a box. Same with KE, I think it was a box move. Does he have the right to think differently, sure. He can say. "I have served enough time and I feel like riding a non sanctioned event, AND I don't think it is a box move" On another note: Chatting my wife last night about this, she had an interesting point of view. The pro's is cycling as a job. So when they get suspended, they get FIRED no more JOB. Her view is, once banned or suspended they have lost their earning ability, and might as well ride any race as they can not earn from it. They are / should not be eligible for podium or any category position while suspended. So if they come in first, “here is the 1st finisher, but since he is still on suspension his time does not count….and here is our WINNER” Edit: removed double text

Looks to me that there was prizes involved. Or does the value now matter? If he won, he would have take something away while on suspension.

Same here, I called Two wheels and they said "saw your post on the hub" Just get Dave (Cycling Power) to do the warranty when he gets your wheel / hub for calibration. Got wheel back and all is good. Thanks very much to TwoWheels, this kept me on the Stans product.

I was on GX 1 x 11 with Sunrace 11-46 now on GX Eagle with Sunrace 11-50 Had a 32 up front with 11 speed and now on 34 For me the 2nd biggest gear is where I ride most with the 46 and now the 50 the bail-out so on the 11 speed I had 32 x 40 so 8T different and bailout was 32 x 46 so 14T on 12 speed 34 x 42 is also 8T but bailout :-) is 34 x 50 so 16T So going 12 speed and NOT using the SRAM XD cassette I have essentially and extra and bigger bailout gear

But why tell people that they are not allowed to wear earphones as earphone stops them from hearing which makes them the same as a deaf person ? Edit: Not sure if I get my point accross..... There is a rule / law that cyclist can not wear headphone as it essentiall make them DEAF. But then you should ban deaf people from cyclling, is that not right? MY opinion is that yes it is more dangerous. It will not actively kill anyone else like you can when texting It is not clever to do!

For sure you are correct. And i agree with you. I am just saying from a policing point of view. How do you enforce this law and the hearing disable person? We can not say they are not allowed to ride a bike because they can not hear, right? I know and understand that it is MUCH safer to be able to hear what is behind you, but how to make it a law is difficult.

Ok Good point. But what does the person with hearing disability do? Get run over because the bus does not adhere to 1.2M? EDIT: Which is why I dont believe it should be policed from the traffic side, we should have the option to decide..Yes it is safer to ride without them but should not be traffic law

In my mind they are endangering their lives only.... and I also think that hearing getting hit is not going to make a difference to the outcome. Also, what about someone who can not hear or has bad hearing?

My wife had 3 fender benders in the last 5 years. And every one was a person in morning traffic busy texting. Myself had someone rear end me.....again I watched it in the rear view mirror as he looked down to text and drove into my T-bar. Can not comment on Drunk driving as I am not out on the road when those creatures normally take to the roads

I think that the biggest contributor to accidents is "distracted driving" not drugs or alcohol. Drugs and alcohol = Worst type of accidents

My point is here I told a FELLOW cyclist to aboey the rule and was told that he will give me PK? WHY? Because some motorist is driving like a ****** it give him the right to not obey the road rules ==== NO it does not. I will keep telling my fellow motorist to get of his phone and my fellow cyclist to obey the rules.

I was at a traffic light, cyclist keeps going while red for him / his friend stopped and waited. Yes he was going over the light slowly but it give motorist just another reason to hate us. Drive up next to him and say "hey dude, that is not good for the cyclist image" F-oof before I give you a PK was his FIRST words....I mean WTF, you are doing something wrong and now you get agro?
