  1. Better headsets also include better deals. Cheap ones often does not come with any rubber seal. My Cane Creek came with a very nice rubber dust / water seal ring on the bottom of the headset that does a very good job at keeping water out. On my other bike there was no seal only the ring that the bearing sit on. Better design = more Expensive
  2. OP please give us his hub name also. So I can stay clear of him
  3. Post the add and we can comment We need info like 26 or 29 What brakes Quick release is old tech etc
  4. I dont think you should advertise it yet. Demand your money back and if he does not do this report to Admin, kick him off the hub and only then advertise the fork etc
  5. Seems like the OP has tried. But why must the OP sell the fork and not be refunded imediately?
  6. I must say that have a little lists of who not to deal with in the cycling related and he just made the list
  7. I have seen that being done, but will stop them from now on. Since I have this new info. "get off and walk like me, this is mandatory portage Why else do you think I am walking?"

  9. Dude that is BS He pays you and then you send it You had to to PAY him before sending it to you
  10. Well said sir I can not understand when people recomment a gearing to someone else when they do not know where the person rides. What inclines, distance, how much per week etc etc In the Cape "spining out" is much less of a concern that being able to up a 10-27% incline. I often see people from JHB posting that 34 or 36 is the go to ring. Would love to see them climb the cement road on Conties that is loose, rutted at first avg 15% then cement at 27% in a 36T (yes the pros do it)
  11. Tell him he has 24h to refund you and he can come fetch it from you anyway or you can send it back 24H later NAME and SHAME him here I am sure everyone here will agree that we do not want people like him on the hub
  12. In theory = yes But there are a few variables to consider 1. Hard tail You could get away it 2. Fullsus This is where you can do damage. It depends on what RD you have Older RD's had / have a mechanical stop. If the chain was on the shorter side and now you put a 2T bigger ring your RD could get jammed against that stop when your suspension is at bottom. If this happens it is new RD time Some bikes does this more than others so the it also depends bike to bike GOOD NEWS I have done this for me and others. Going 2T bigger = you need one outer and one inner to get the correct length again. Bike shops will have pieces of chain laying around, get a small piece from them and then add one quick link and one inner. Break the chain at the blue arrow and use the quick link on your bike with that black (red circle) and another quick link to the rest of the chain. So now you have a current chain, that end in a current quick link, NOW inner link attached to that then another quick link
  13. All SRAM shifters and RD. RUNS 1 to 1 pull ratioAnything 9 10 11 spd. RD will work with any 9 10 11 speed shifters I have done it. 9 mtb shifter with 10 road RD
  14. Measure from the center of your seat tube to the chain ring. If more 50mm then your chain ring is not in the correct place. Maybe people doing 1 x conversions uses the wrong chainring or does not use the correct spacers Or if you have a long straight edge. Place it against the cog in the middle of the cassette. Let’s say gear 5/6 and you chain ring should be inline with that cog.
  15. To the rider on Koeberg road this morning just before 09:00 1. The law states that if there is a cycling lane you HAVE to use it. 2. I saw you look back for and then chuck a gel down. That plastic packet is what polutes our waters, kills animals etc. The car in front of me stopped and looked like the was turning around, I hope that guy gave you an earfull
  16. I am sure you can make a little extension Alu angle. Drill some hole and bolts
  17. First prize would be that it happens.
  18. Another example of someone thinking they don’t have covid and will not spread it. Mask or physical distance. Arg tog.
  19. What trainer do you have? If it is a direct drive then your trainer will have a free body on it so just buy any 12 spd cassette that will fit Sunrace is the best priced with 11-50 range You were not thinking of removing the cassette from you rear wheel every time you want to use the trainer? If you have a wheel in trainer then just put the bike on.
  20. Does anyone perhaps have spares for this freehub laying around Snip Found it
  21. I love the sling, it takes 2 people only and I can not afford any more per hours anyway. Savanha is a bit slow, but FUN to fly. They say fly it lika tail dragger with a nose wheel. You need happy feet. :-) Sling easily does 95-100 kts so one can get somewhere also.
  22. Why not try Morningstar and investigate NPL or PPL PPL is 45 hours, that you can do when you like. NPL is 35 hours, and it took me 6 months to complete. I got mine at 37hours :-) And I can always upgrade to PPL but I dont see my being able to afford having a bigger plane on my license at R4000 ph Keeping the Sling and Savanha on my lic. at R1395 p x 5 hours per year is doable. They offer VERY good rates, at R1395 per hour, and you do not need to drop the whole amount. Go do an intro flight....and check it out.
  23. I called tacx and they were very helpfull, maybe give them a shout
  24. From what I understand with a mask the droplets are captured, but with a buff they are broken up
