Hey guys, it has been a few years since I have ridden the West Coast cycle path and I'd like to venture that way again.. How safe is it to cycle there on weekends? I read an article where they were planning security patrols along this stretch. Have any incidents occurred recently, specifically in the section from town to Paarden Island?

I never fancied taking my iPhone out on rides with me (precipitation and mugging) but i think this budget phone will be my next purchase. Heres to becoming a segment slave....

So this morning i cycled up this climb and i was told by a group of social runners that bicycles werent allowed on this "road". I cycle this climb regularly and frequently see Navy personnel who dont bother me at all so this is the first time i heard of this. Does this count as a public road or is it Navy territory?
