  1. Seems like the sales person at the istore was shifting the blame to the cellular providers when Core are the real issue......
  2. I'm not entirely sure. I'm going on what a colleague said to me this week when he went to the istore to investigate getting the watch with the discovery benefit
  3. Has anyone received their miles from the "points to miles" benefit yet? Worried that i didn't activate it last year when it was announced and now i get an error when clicking activate in the link below https://www.discovery.co.za/credit-card/get-your-vitality-points-back-in-discovery-miles
  4. As far as i know we are not getting the Watch 3 that is able to make calls because none of our networks can provide dual sim for one number.
  5. Anyone (Myles ) know if you can cancel an activated booster benefit? With Device booster and Bike booster being added this year to the existing Shoe booster benefit, of which you may only have one active at a time, is it possible to cancel an active shoe booster to take up a device booster instead? I see no reason why not as it doesn't cost Vitality anything, they simply stop repaying you every month for the benefit you've cancelled.
  6. Agreed with you from a vitality points perspective, I was think from an actual training data perspective, ie using the device for intended use rather than free smoothies
  7. Having the same issue with my Suunto not pulling through the points. See that it is a known issue as per the below on their website. FYI the point need to reflect by Tuesday next week not Friday, so still time for it to be resolved. 03-01-2018: Delay in point allocation There is currently a delay in the allocation of points. We are working on having this resolved as soon as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
  8. I disagree that this is a device flaw. I would rather the session average heart rate doesn't reduce the average heart rate just because the HR lost signal for whatever reason. It could make a tempo session look like a recovery session. if you know what I mean.
  9. "*Discovery Card spenders are members with an active Discovery Card AND who have spent at least R500 000 on their Discovery Card over the previous 12 months."
  10. Just got the race briefing document.... it says there are three starting groups 5 minutes apart. I'm in "group D" which last time I checked was the fourth letter of the alphabet.....
  11. Myles have they ever explained the reason/logic behind gym booster only being applicable to the single gym membership and not premier? I assume it's because premier members are more likely to hit the targets.....
  12. For those who have done the race before, do they at least seed day 2 based on day 1 results?
  13. Thanks. Had a look at that. Seem to all be road events and only a couple in Western Cape. Doesn't really make sense to me to seed a MTB race in the Western Cape based road events done outside of the region.
  14. Anyone know what the seeding for this race is based on? Finding myself seeded much further back than I'd like for this weekend
  15. Those roosterkoek steak rolls got me at least 4 times
  16. Great event! Thanks to all involved in making it happen. Room for improvement with the timing, but didn't influence the overall result. Also think the start could be more orderly with seeding on all days, but certainly not worth complaining about. Definitely wouldn't shorten the night ride, it's perfect as it is. Riding in the setting sun and then seeing the lights all over the mountain is so cool and not something we don't experience often. Also turns out that racing at night is a little different to chilled training in the dark, got the scars to prove it. Hope the race stays as it is with the relaxed vibe, well priced entry/food/drink and prize money Will be back next year.
  17. Weather prediction made a bit of a turn https://www.yr.no/place/South_Africa/Western_Cape/Eselfontein/long.html
  18. Don't think that's it. I have had this issue for a week now and tried a few times over the last week.
  19. Anyone else getting this error when selecting a reward? "Error: Failed to choose reward" https://ibb.co/j28tdk Been an issue since the app upgrade. Have tried the usual fixes like deleting and re-downloading the app but the issue persists. 6 vouchers I can't use now
  20. I think you are referring to the "elite" fitness test that you did in 2015, which was a peak performance/output test. From my understanding the new "high performance" test is very different from the old "elite" test (although i would be stoked if i'm wrong!). The old elite test was R1500 and the new high performance is R375, surely an indication that it isn't the same test?
  21. Spoke to someone at the Discovery store in Sea Point and they said they are still trying to decide on the qualifying criteria and therefore haven't rolled out the high performance test yet. Confusing given that the qualifying criteria has been published on the website I was also told that you have to do the regular fitness test first to see if you have the fitness level to qualify for the high performance test. All quite contradictory to what I have read!
  22. For challenge 4, it says "at least 3 rides" so I would think you can ride morning and evening for 3 days (say 6 rides) and that would be fine?
  23. Agree that it would be nice if it only showed those still in the competition. That would save me counting that there are 339 people left in the running.
  24. Can't comment regarding existing vouchers disappearing, but the vouchers I was due to receive today haven't popped up. Edit: Checked their FB page and it is a know issue regarding the vouchers disappearing.
  25. So this means that there will no longer be one day event on the usual November date?
