  1. Or the Uber driver, maybe he thinks I will be in the uber but I said the uber will collect, not meπŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  2. Messaged this guy to see what his scam tactic is. Says he is busy and has no transport so I must collect this afternoon at an address in Crossroads. Said I will send an Uber to collect which he seemed fine with... so not sure where it's going.
  3. No longer a differentiator, Garmin does this now.
  4. See pic
  5. I can supply these 3/8inch drive Torque wrench 5-25Nm. Comes with lifetime warranty. DM if interested.
  6. The people riding gravel bikes on the missing link...
  7. Lions head is better suited to mountain bikes, it's quite rocky in places. For a gravel ride i would recommend going from Vredehoek up to the Blockhouse and back via Tafelberg road, thats a great ride. Start at the 3.3km mark on this route: https://www.strava.com/activities/8383411591 P.S. That's also a safer route, there have been mugging incidents lately on the lower slopes of Signal Hill above Bo-KaapπŸ˜”
  8. Check out the specials on offer at the shop at The Bike park at Constantia Uitsig πŸ˜‰
  9. Unfortunately out of your budget, but my experience with my girlfriend being on a Levo SL has been great! The SL version being lighter makes it easier to handle and still has enough power. We ride all surfaces and although the flat/downhill on the road she would lag a bit from time to time, there is always a climb around the corner to even it out. On the mountain my heart would be bursting out of my chest trying to keep up on the climbs if she had more power to play with. The Levo cost more that my road and mountain bikes combined, but being able to enjoy spending more time together outdoors, while both getting a satisfactory workout, was more than worth the investment. My 2c. P.S. Maybe my take is less relevant if you are only riding an e-bike yourself.
  10. Anyone know exactly what tools & spares the front pro's carry on them for emergencies between tech zones? Would have thought a handful of cable ties would be essential? In the case of catastrophic tyre/rim issue, you cable tie the tyre to the rim with 5-10 evenly spaced cable ties to get you to the tech zone rather than riding a bare rim. Seen this on the Dakar and got me thinking.
  11. What's the difference between a car following a cyclist/s and a bunch of cyclists not riding single file? Seems like the same thing to a motorist.... cyclists causing an obstruction.
  12. Great report! The photo's are amazing and I know it'll be even better in person. Makes me even more excited about our trip... I've organised a group of 9 riders plus support driver for the first week of June, a slightly more strenuous version over just 6 days 😁
  13. No! Thats a taco not a tostada🀠
  14. Or when someone rides over some glass and they tell you they've got a flat wheel... 🀨
  15. I choose life! A 36 would be suicide.
  16. Really want to do this race, but the entry fee and me having to buy a smaller front chainring is just too muchπŸ’²πŸ’²πŸ’²πŸ˜©
  17. Varia on a Watch (forerunner)
  18. 100%... If Garmin could offer a three ride demo try before you buy to people, they would probably sell thousands more!
  19. Knew about this device but didn't think much of it, until I tested one for a few rides. Once you have ridden with a Garmin Varia, the is no going back!
  20. All 4 rounds in Jonkers, but each round will be different by making the stages using different levels of the trails.
  21. Which Garmin device do you have? the newer ones track HRV specifically.
  22. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1390618655080402/?mibextid=6ojiHh is this a good deal? πŸ˜’
  23. The Kleinmond trails are also really nice, they've put a lot into them in the last year or two. Buy permit at the Sasol petrol station, trails go from town, through Rooisand Nature reserve, over the road opposite Arabella and back. https://www.strava.com/activities/4522990936 Also some improvements to the Honingklip trails closer to Botrivier.
  24. Clarence drive is currently closed and they say you will be fined for riding it.... but personally I can't wait to ride it a few times without cars!!!🀠
