  1. Is anybody using Spirit's "Evolution" and " Explorer" Pants and Jackets? The price doesn't look to bad and looks like pretty decent.
  2. Rather check It out, just to be on the safe side.
  3. He was riding a bicycle, thats why. Lions love runners. Lol
  4. Very Very Safe. You can even run at Marloth Park, next to the KNP Fence
  5. Struggled to get going again. Lots of work stress = Not in the mood to run. And weekend long run fell through as I had to pick up my new bike. But hopefully this week will go better.
  6. Its a late 2016,but reg 2017 Model. I don't like buying 2nd hand bikes or demos, but when I saw the price and the km's, I couldn't say no.
  7. As long as it safes me petrol while commuting
  8. Got a pretty sweet deal on this bike from Perry's Bike shop.. Traded in my Duke 390 for this KTM 1050. The 1050 only has 94km on the clock and bought it for R119000, its still brand spanking new. The owner is overseas and doesn't ride the bike anymore so he sold it. Will be taking delivery of the bike this week. Cant wait for my Mozambiquen trips.. Had to borrow this pic from Perry's Bike website. Will post a pic as soon as it arrives..
  9. Just shows you, we are everywhere...
  10. I'm so glad I am not staying in Joburg. Lol. I hate the cold.
  11. Thanks Ferret, That helps a lot. I'm actually excited to start running/racing in lighter shoes.
  12. Ha ha ha ha. I forgot about that Indian dude....
  13. I actually do like the Reacts. They are a bit lighter than the Bostons and The Zoom Fly according to the Reviews online. And I am a bit scared changing to a different shoe, been with nike for years and years. Just look at your Comrades Time with the reacts. So I guess it is a fast shoe.
  14. Ferret and Stu, how many km's are you guys getting out of your Adidas Bostons? I know Stu is currently on the Nike Epic React,(that will be my second choice) I'm switching to Adidas Bostons 7 for a lighter racing shoe, and don't want to buy a new pair every month. Was thinking of Using the Bostons for weekend long runs, races and speed sessions, and my Pegasus for my normal training runs during the week.
  15. Walmsley is a beast. Check out his Strava run. He run sub 5min/km for most of the race.
  16. Its best to go to a running store and let them test your feet to see if you have neutral, over-pronating or under pronating feet. An then they can advise you on which correct shoes to buy.
  17. Are you running with the correct shoes?
  18. Thanks Edgar. Will def give them a go..
  19. So my coach wants me to switch to a lighter, faster shoe. I want to go for the Adidas Boston 6. My first choice will def be the Nike Zoom Fly,but its so bloody difficult to buy a pair because know one is stocking them, except 1-2 shops in JHB. I am also aiming for a sub 3 in November, but first I want to get way below 90min for the 21km. So a lot of speedwork to be done from July..
  20. Well Done Tjommies. A win is a Win or a No1 Spot is a No1 Spot.
