  1. I use Octane from PVM (Energy Dynamics). It's great 'cause you can mix it for isotonic or hypotonic energy requirements. If I use the isotonic mix I add some L-Glutamine to it just to replenish the muscle stores.
  2. I've tried it but my cookies keep falling off!
  3. 3 bar debt is not hard to achieve. A nice house and a car or two and you're there. The more you earn the more you have.
  4. Funny enough' date=' the surface in contact with the road is travelling at Zero kph with respect to the road. On a moving tank or bulldozer, approximately one third of the track is always stationary with respect to to the ground it is moving over. [/quote'] Not funny at all. The bottom most part of the tyre is travelling a t 0 km/h and the top most part is travelling at 240 km/h for a vehicle travelling at 120km/h. The only time the bottom most part of the tyre is travelling at more than 0 km/h is when there is wheelspin. As for the record player story, the outside is travelling faster than the inside, if you make 2 marks on the record, one near the center and one one the outermost part, the one in the center has trevelled less distance in the same amount of time, therefore it has travelled slower. The data on the record is just "stretched" as you move outwards. As for the wheel, I'm not going with the increase in diameter theory as it would indeed travel faster than a smaller diameter wheel with the same amount of revolutions however more energy would be required in order to achieve this. Hmmmmmmmmmmm... Thanks Veloce, That's what I was trying to tell these okes.
  5. Ok TNT. Let's take your example of the record player. On the inside track, the circumference could be say 10cm. That is the ring closest to the center of the record, remember, it's the circumference. Now, if you take the outer most track on your record, the circumference could be about 1m (or 100cm). If you draw a line from the center to the end of the record and spin it once, the line (or points) would end at the start at the same time. One point has travelled 10cm, the other point has travelled 100cm in the same amount of time. Now which one was travelling faster? Enough said. Wazza2008-11-12 03:55:30
  6. The record player is not travelling at 120km/h....
  7. Funny enough' date=' the surface in contact with the road is travelling at Zero kph with respect to the road. On a moving tank or bulldozer, approximately one third of the track is always stationary with respect to to the ground it is moving over. [/quote'] the surface in contact with the road is travelling @ 120km/h in relation to the trailer body right next to it... The center of the wheel is travelling at 120km/h in relation to the road, the outer diameter of the tyre is travelling faster.
  8. If you paint a little mark on the outside of the wheel and move the center of the wheel 1m forward, the outside of the wheel would travel further? If you move something 1m and the outside travels further, in the same amount of time, then it must go faster, not?
  9. Can I give it a go.....? If you look at the center of the wheel it is travelling at say 120km/h. The outside of the tyre is travelling a hell of a lot faster because if the wheel is rolling, the outside of the tyre passes the center on every rotation. Now, if the tyre comes loose the wheel is spinning at a rate much faster than it was travelling, and on every bounce would accelerate it. Combined with no rolling resistance it could gather speed untill it reaches the speed that the outside of the tyre was travelling at. Sorry if this has been mentioned, but I didn't read the whole thread.
  10. Go to this website to get an idea of your BMI (body mass index). http://www.health24.com/dietnfood/Weight_Centre/15-51-90.asp
  11. At 1.85m and 76kg you are by no means overweight. You should work out your bodyfat %. With those stats you should be around 10%, and that is brilliant in anybody's books. Now you should do some weight training and get those abs to show .
  12. R130.01 Why the 1c?

    Creatine

It's all about calories in versus calories out. In order to put on weight you need to have an excess of calories. To do this you need to know what your BMR (base metobolic rate) is. You can get an online calculator to get a rough idea. So lets say it's 2500 calories. This is the calories your body requires in order to function ie. breathing, eating, walking sleeping etc. If you train 6 days a week and use 2000 calories during a 3 hour ride you need to add this to your BMR. So your sitting at 4500 calories. Now in order to gain wait you should consume 500 per day more than you consume, so you looking at about 5000 calories per day. To get you calories up you need to eat, eat and eat some more. Foods that can add alot of healthy calories are breads, pastas, rice but go for the wholewheat or brown types, potatoes, meat but stick with lean meats, and natural healthy fats like avos, peanutbutter, nuts and seeds. If you can't eat that much try one of the mass builder shakes on the market. The same goes for fat loss - reduce your daily caloric consumption by 500 and you should lose weight. Remember: muscle or fat loss does not come in a bottle. Get on your bike or get your ass into the gym and work them.Wazza2008-11-03 06:22:27
  14. What would a sponsorship like this cost?
  15. You can download a service manual for a BMW M3. Does it mean you going to service it yourself if no one shows you how?
  16. I'm doing it through SingleTrack MTB shop in Silver Lakes. The R300 includes drinks and snacks, a Park Tool multitool and the course itself. It's this Wednesday 18:00 to whenever. PM if you want their contact details. They cover (amongst others): Gear adjustments checking the brakes post crash inspection chain wear chain rings basic maintenance etc. and then they are open to any questions or topics you would like to discuss. Definetely worth the R300!
  17. I'm doing a basic bike maintenance and servicing course this week. Cost is R300 and I hope never to have to send my bike in for a service again. This is where the lbs are gonna start making their money. The less they make in new bike sales the more they'll start charging for services etc.
  18. Ja right!!!
  19. Bearing in mind that this is a once off purchase of the kit, so I can't just phone up my sponsor and request a new kit after every race!
  20. Ok here is what we are looking at, but I'm thinking a blue lower back section as well. Unfortunetely I have to stick to the corporate colour scheme!
  21. Hi guys, I am in the process of designing MTB cycling kit for our company. Our logo is basically blue and white. The kit with the majority white looks the best, but what is your feeling regarding this and getting dirty/muddy and cleaning after races? Does it stay white for long? Thanks

    More retards

They are there every afternoon as well. I sometimes feel like hooting when I go past. They drive side by side in the yellow lane.
  23. After a few "sleeping pills" starting with a "C" I don't think I'll be needing earplugs, I'll be passing out.
  24. Where are you guys staying the night before the race? We are thinking of roughing it up a bit and camping at the start, if it's possible.
