  1. I changed from SPD to Crank Brother Candy's. Should have done this a long time ago!
  2. Did the trail once, not great. I think it's meant for toddlers. Unless I missed something?
  3. Groenkloof is awesome but can become a bit predictable if you ride there 3 or 4 times a week. The Epic Sports options sounds like a good one then. Seems road cyclings popularity will be increasing as currently the chances of being hit my a car is less than being hit by a blunt object! philip.maree2009-10-06 01:57:05
  4. So where is safe to go and ride alone or in small groups? Or is it just better to buy and IDT?

  13. Dude, go the small claims route and be done with it. Continue this post when it the legal route is successful or unsuccessful. IMHO, this post is doing you no favors at this point.
  14. Well, it would at least bring everyone around the "table" to state their case and point. Impartial arbitration would be a lot more constructive than what is currently the case. http://www.services.gov.za/ServicesForPeople/Dealingwiththelaw/sueing/recoverdebt.aspx?Language=en-ZA philip.maree2009-06-12 04:50:37
  15. I reckon a bag is more than R7K? You could use the Small Claims court for up to R7K. It might be worthwhile to try that even if it's just to get their attention
  16. Breaking Benjamin - Breath
  17. how much is owed to you?
  18. My wife had it done once her eyes stabilized (-4.25). After 6 months had to have the left eye done again as it deteriorated. After 7 years she is back on spectacles (-2.75) as she will never be able to wear contact lenses again. Her night vision is relatively non-existent as to what it was prior to the operation. These are things that the doctor failed to mention upfront. My father in law had his done 15 years ago and he only needs reading glasses at this point. But he doesn't spend 8 hours a day in front of a computer so the strain on his eyes are a lot less.
  19. I am looking for a good allround tire choice. I am currently running Crossmarks UST but I find although they roll well, they are absolutely horrible as soon as there is a hint of mud Any suggestions?
  20. Fritz Pienaar Cycles in Irene. You sit on a foam pad for a couple of minutes. Then the measure the distance between the indentations your sit bones make in the foam. Sounds dodge, I know but it isn't
  21. I had a Gobi and my sitbones are to wide for it as it is 130 saddle. Go and have your butt measured. I changed to a 143 Specialized Avatar saddle and it is 150% more comfortable as my butt actually fits on it. Specialized have got an Alias which is similar to the Avatar but weighs 100g less, Alias = 220g, for R1100. I think that is an awesome buy if weight is a concern. The idea about the fizik's are that they have a wider sitting area to distribute pressure off the perineum. But you need a skinny butt to have that benefit. If you are a larger guy like me, 1.87 @ 95kg's then fizik's might also be a bit narrow. I think Specialized have got the least % of blood loss to the perineum out of all the brands.
  22. I would love to see anyone take on Julian Absolon on a dual and take away his world cup title. When that happens, I'll buy a dual Someone did at the Cross Country World Championship. Did you miss it?
