  1. I saw a Tweet a while back by Florian Vogel that he's in for the Epic next year. Can't imagine him riding with anyone other than Nino Naef and KE would be a good combo IMO
  2. Hope Reid gets a ride somewhere. Maybe at USN with Phil Buys since they both have an XC focus. Or maybe with BMC as RE:CM let Luke Roberts go as he also wants to focus on the XC side of it. Seems that accomodating the XCM and XC riders in one team is a bit of a challenge. KE didn't seem overly excited on SS last night.
  3. At least they will be on decent bikes! Sure that was a deal breaker vir KE. Can't see him being content to deal with as arse like Victor Momsen.
  4. I see the riders will still have backing for next year. There will just be now reference to Rabobank. Guess they have just had enough of all the bad publicity. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/rabobank-to-become-white-label-team
  5. It's not necessarily his racing that makes it exciting, but I think his presence has an effect on the race. Just that alone makes the racing exciting because he is somewhat of an unknown quantity. You can see on Rodriguez and Froome's faces that they are waiting for him to make a move. On another note: Hopefully Froome wil not fade in week 3 and doesn't only look at the TT for gains. Rodriguez, Valverde and Contador have made him look a bit vulnerable in the mountain stages thus far. Hopefully week 2 and 3 he will deliver. I feel sorry for Froome though, with all the hype that he is the strongest rider at Sky although he had to play lieutenant, he has been setup to look like an idiot if he doesn't win the overall at the Vuelta.
  6. I am also rooting for Froome. But one has to admit, with Contador back in the mix the racing is just more exciting. Don't know if it has been mentioned somewhere in this thread but I like the "truth and reconciliation" suggestion as per this article. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/pound-calls-for-truth-and-reconciliation-for-cycling. I think that is probably the best way to determine what happened in the past.
  7. I agree with you. I know you know him personally. It's just sad that there will be doubts about his and others current performces (Wiggo, Jens, Hyjedal). The current sentiment is "just cause they test clean, doesn't mean they are clean"
  8. I reckon Jens Voigt must have the best chemist. What he is doing currently is just mind boggling. Just love that dude!
  9. I know! It's sad though but this is how sceptical the sport of cycling has become.
  10. They should just legalize doping. If an athlete wants to risk it then so be it. Use the TDF and such events for the entertainment value that it produces. The racing will be exciting whether they dope or not.
  11. I hope the Sky train also yields to this . Their performance increase in the last 12 months is at least, suspect.
  12. Just a sad day. No good will come of this.
  13. I am currently running a X0 3x gripshift with 2x X0 Front Derailleur. No problems with this setup at all. Just need to get the cable tension correct and set the limit screws on the FD to prevent you from overshifting to the big ring. It took me a bit of tweaking to get it spot on.
  14. That Team Sky unit is surely a tight bunch.
  15. Although Froome is clearly stronger that Wiggins at this stage, once has to respect the iron fist with which Wiggins is captaining that team. There is no doubt who the leader of Sky is. And yes, the leader is not necessarily the strongest rider. Froome will get his chance to win the tour, Wiggins also confirmed that. It's just not this tour and it will not be next years tour. Cannot imagine the defending champ going into the tour as Plan B. Besides all this, Wiggins has shown that he is quite strong himself. I have been very impressed with his form. Wheel sucking or not, you steel need to be strong to suck the wheels of Rodgers, Porte and Froome in the Pyrenees. I think we saw that when somebody activated Cadel's ABS.
  16. Contador is confirmed with Saxo http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/contador-returns-with-saxo-bank
  17. Indirectly, yes. He stopped to give Brajkovic a wheel cause he flatted do to the tacks. In his swerve across the road Levi Leipheimer collided with him and they both crashed. Kiserlovski got the worst of it though.
  18. Thanks! It was a real nice ride. Had a 32x20t setup. Will change that to 32x18t for the next ride.
  19. Took her for a first outing on Saturday.
  20. Just hope when he wins the Olympic Gold that he will show some respect
  21. Think Rotor and FSA do 40/27
  22. This will be the only in competition TT's left that he will be able to ride before the Olympics. All his main rivals will be featuring and I think it's just for training to see how he is going before hitting London.
  23. 2 Spacers on the drive side sorts out the clearance but the chainline is not to bad though.
