  3. I was told once that if you cannot ride like 'em, at least make an attempt to look like 'em
  4. The battery has just run flat in the last week. Needs replacing so from experience I would say 12 to 18 months ago. The watch itself is shown off very infrequently. The Model Number is : CAH1112
  5. Greetings What would be a fair market price for the Tag Heuer Quartz Formula 1 ? Purchased 10-02-2012 In excellent condition. Original packaging and warrantee card for authenticity available. The IWatch is very demanding !
  6. I heard once, that if you cannot be like 'em at least spend wisely to look like 'em #retail #therapy
  7. should this topic have been discussed, I do apologise as I have not read through every comment or post of late, but has anyone also perhaps over the last few weeks NOT been allocated the Team Reward for the weekly points target ? This despite the team members each being rewarded on the individual weekly targets which now are up to 1000 points per individual
  8. a few rides under the belt now and still
  9. I got to exchange this : for this : just before ZUMA did his thing this last week
  10. Start of Ironman Africa Championship - LG G3 Beat
  11. I got 'suckered' into doing both the 80km Mtb as well as the 109km Road events note to self : wayyyy to early in the season for this. Thankfully we dodged the rain, but what did come down on Friday night did ensure a heavy, muddy & wet ride. The Road event gets a thumbs up for taking us off the N2, buuuuuut if we're gonna have to suffer for a full 109km over those rolling hills I for one would appreciate being timed for that and not the 100km as shown on racetec what's with that ?!
  12. what really irks me is when having done the necessary to reap the reward, for whatever lame (in my humble opinion as I am put out by this ) excuse Discovery Vitality want to use, most of the reward processes never (seldomly) go smoothly. I am unable to make a hotel booking in the month of February at both Garden Court East London & Hemingways as according to the complaint/query I have lodged ... the Hotel Group only makes so many rooms available for Vitality members So in a matter of x2 working days, from recieving a quote to actually making a booking I am to believe that each room at both establishments made available to vitality members has been snapped up paaaaaleeeeeeze For the record, I am a Diamond Vitality member and the 50% hotel discount for my efforts must have rung the alarm bells when I entered the Daily Dispatch due to be staged in Feb ... A lot like SAA and the frequent flyer reward scheme ... I am yet to be awarded the seat upgrade I so desire when booking my approach must be wrong
  13. Q : Do you mean you went with CWC and the ZTR wheelset ?
  14. Greetings Both CWC & CRC are having pretty decent New Year Specials on the mentioned wheelsets respectively. The question really is,(1) which set to pull the trigger on ? ... I will therefore appreciate all meaningful input, advice and comment in this regard. I ride a 2013 Scott Scale 920. The main criteria is an upgrade on rims, therefore the standard weight advantage comes into play but above all else is the Quality Aspect followed shortly by the Bling requirement. Thanks and I look forward to the responses.
  15. Early Xmas Stocking Fillers ... with thanks to Andrew & Ryan from larcdistributors.co.za Carbon / Kevlar and some real bling
  16. I lodged my dispute / complaint. Within 24hrs I received the phonecall and was told that my ride would be updated manually. I will follow up on Monday
  17. Surname is Driscoll
  18. Garf would have smashed the sub 3 were it not for a puncture with about 10 km's to go ! I was with him at this stage, and unfortunately had to carry on leaving him to wrestle with the Tubby ... I was told that he punctured again. Thanks to the Saturday ride out with Garf, I had a nice idea of how quick the route was gonna be and also thanks to Garf's advice of where to be and what to look out for I managed to sneak in with a 02:54 Unfortunately, one of my Buddies up with me from PE was involved in that carnage and we had to collect him from the Trauma Unit. He has a numb hip and broken elbow. An operation is required. PS: There was some skittish riding out in front, and I don't know who the Guy was that ended up within cm's of the mountain side next to the N1, but at those speeds for goodness sake 'keep your line' or at least give warning of your intention. You know who you are on more than one occasion !! Other than that, perfect conditions and stoked with the time.

  21. Try Arlene Shaw at SportsWorld http://www.sportsworld.co.za I paid R2150 incl. delivery from Cape Town to PE in March for the Garmin 500. It was not the bundle however, as I already had the HRM & Foot Pod from the Garmin FR60.
  22. Does anyone know if this screen ( once stood on / cracked ) is at all repairable ? Much appreciated.
  23. Done, oh and should I not hear from you then I will cry 'rigged'
  24. here are mine : both standard upgrades from the initial entry levels. looking fwd. to 'pimping' in the not so distant future Scott scale 920 and the SST 2.1
  25. The ongoing automotive strike afforded the family the opportunity to spend an awesome time in Kenton last week. The weather was really good, and of course you're not living at the coast unless the wind really blows at between 40 & 50 km/h mostly westerly. I tried through the hub as well as by E Mail to contact those at Sebumo Tude, and unfortunately I was unsuccesful before getting there. I admit that I did not make the effort to phone, but was disapponted when I arrived by bike to find that the entire establishment was locked up and eerily quiet. It was 07h00 in the morning, but I dedcided to not venture around the single track without knowing what I may be in for. All of this did however allow for an average 30 km workout there and back. My advice is to certainly make the effort of phoning up front.
