  1. Can I fit a 30mm rim with a 2.35" tyre on a 2021 Spark 900? Building up a bike and not sure what the tire clearance is on the frame, seems very tight on the seat stays.
  2. Yeah bit bruised and battered but luckily nothing serious.
  3. Took a hard tumble at 70km
  4. Thanks for all the feedback guys, it's really valuable. I have done this for some friends and family, and it seems that some people want to upgrade on a tight budget without the hassle of figuring out which components go together, dealing with a bunch of different people to get all the parts together, then having to sell all of the old components. It all started with helping a colleague at work upgrade his 3x to 1x. He was super happy to not worry about anything other than picking up his bike. I gave him an invoice for what the parts cost me(Some were second hand parts I had lying around and some were new parts) minus what I received for his old parts for and then a reasonable fee for my service. Hopefully the parts taken off as part of an upgrade will help keep stock levels up, rather than having to scour bikehub for parts all the time. At least eventually . So I think the motive for profit is not as high as for bikemarket, it's more a way for me to tinker with bikes and keep myself busy after hours, operating out of my garage. Of course it will be great if I can score some nice parts for my own bikes along the way. I know it sounds cheezy but it is such a great feeling to be able to upgrade someones bike for about a third of the price that the LBS quoted. Tubeless conversion while we are busy? Done. In terms of the warranty will have to think about that one, sounds like that could be the kicker. Not sure about the stories coming from bikemarket but I can just imagine? Any feedback is appreciated.
  5. In our challenging economic times and with exchange rates what they are, cycling parts are getting more and more expensive. If you could upgrade your bike for much cheaper and get something back for your old parts hassle free, what are the chances you would use a service like this?
  6. I used to experience similar symptoms, much better since I started intermittent fasting during the week. It's like I have now trained my body to be better at burning fat reserves. I know this is purely anecdotal.
  7. Hi Guys, Managed to get a 2:51 from DL at Tshwane on the weekend. Starting in DL for 94.7 as well, is a sub 3 possible based on these numbers?
  8. Absolutely, I will never take my suspension anywhere else!
  9. Did the ultra last year, it was brutal. 2900 ascent over 106km. Can't wait to do it again!
  10. They say 7 working days, usually it is a bit faster.
  11. Have to say I really enjoyed this race, registration, parking, route marking, marshals etc. For me at least everything went real smooth. Being mostly a mountain biker It could be that I don't pick up on a lot of the finer details but from my point of view the organization and overall experience was superb. Started in AL, could only stay with the group until about 30km, then waited for the guys from B but was still was still knackered so eventually finished with the guys from C in 3:02. In hindsight starting with a slower group would have given me a better time.
  12. I know Photoshop pretty well, how many images are we talking about here?
  13. I was actually worried they will be too fast, i'll hopefully do a sub 3 on the 103 but not the 125...
  14. Ah ok thanks now It makes sense, I should have entered the 103. All the road racing stuff is still a bit confusing, or maybe I am just slow
