  2. Why not have a central battery which can be routed to all the components? Not just the shifters but to riding lights as well. Just add more external connections. Complete with integrated charging point concealed under a shifter hood... Either that or buy a massive multi-plug just to prep your bike for a ride. Charge front and rear riding light AND front and rear derailleur batteries
  3. Hi all I will be driving from PTA to PMB on the 11th of May, the weekend before Sani. If anyone would like a lift to PMB please get hold of me. Unfortunately I can only provide transport to PMB and not to Underberg. I will be returning the following weekend as well if anyone would like a lift back from PMB to PTA. I have space for 2 bikes.   4. That was a tough race through the mud. Bike was washed after the race and I had to wash it again when I got home. I have never used a timing chip before, and I didn't receive an email as I entered the day before the event at Bruce Reyneke and with half an effort reading about timing on the event website I think it was very clear, No chip no time. This was also announced on the day many times before the start of the race and If I'm not mistaken, you could have bought a timing chip at the race. If you didn't get a time, you only have yourself to blame.
  5. Has anyone encountered a problem running a 40 or 42T gear with their derraileur? It seems 10sp derailleurs are built to handle a 36T gear and no bigger.   6. Hi all Is there an early morning riding group in the East? I'm looking for someone to cycle with during the week either Mtb or Road. I ride twice a week leaving just after 5 to be home by 6. I do a 23 km loop on the Mtb or a 30km loop down Boschkop on the road bike. Would prefer to ride the road bike in the week to save the mtb nobblies...

  8. I do it twice a week. Quite a few sharp/jaggered rocks poking out along the route that could make your ride end badly..
