    94.7 Seeding Events

Thanks but this appears to be the seeding for 2012 race. I've said this before but the Cape Argus organisers already announced the seeding races for their 2014 race at the beginning of the year, whereas the 94.7 organisers can't even formulate the 2013 list a few months before the event.
  2. The real "King Of The Mountain"!
  3. Good point... So you mean to say I should infact take my mountain bike and a beer filled cooler box with me instead of a road bike with EPO and waterbottles?
  4. Surely a decent amateur cyclist could get away with riding a standard crank with a 12/28 cassette?
  5. Much like it is scientifically proven that driving with your lights on in your car reduces your chances of being in an accident, I have no doubt that bright clothing on a cyclist has the same affect. Obviously not in all situations though.
  6. HAHA, yeah they did indeed get far too much camera time in certain mountain stages. I like how certain riders have defining clothing elements which makes it easier to pick them out from their teammates... Cadels yellow shoes, Sami's gold shoes, Froome's white glasses, Berto's yellow glasses.
  7. Much like cycling, every Formula 1 team is and always has been cheating... It's just about not cheating enough to get caught. A friend of mine used to be a big shot at Honda and used to tell of many a story about how they "pushed the limits".
  8. I prefer the Diadora Jet Racer as worn by Cadel Evans...
  9. That Strava chart is nuts!!!
  10. I read an article which said Armstrong used a 39/53 crank and 14-23 at the back. That's just incredible even while on drugs!
  11. Supersport or online. But that usually only show highlights plus the final 2 hours live.
  12. I actually hit an electric fence there the once and it got stuck in the rear cassette... Let's just say it was a shocking experience
  13. Whats up with the complete lack of marked signposts at Van Gaalens? For non regulars you basically have to follow any path you find and hope to see a sign lying on the ground every 50km.
  14. Very good result for the lad. Infact I think he could have won it and was quite possibly the strongest sprinter left in the peloton. He ended up an a non sprinters wheel and then had to jump into the head wind far too early. I guess a little bit of inexperience as well, but the guy most certainly has a great career ahead of him. Let's not forget that despite being a sprinter, for two hilly stages he has stuck with the peloton. Surely a Tour de France team role is awaiting him for later in the month.
  15. Victory for the greatest bike brand on the planet
  16. Yeah hopefully Teejay accidentally loses radio contact on the first mountain stage and drops Evans...
  17. I'm sure they have been mentioned already, but as a Joburger, I'm a fan of Complete Cyclist in Hout bay and their killer Cappuccino's after a good ride.
  18. Interesting how the bookies give Van Garderen better odds that Evans at BMC...
  19. What do they taste like? Any good?
  20. Although these damn French Canadians really need to speak more English!
  21. Who's riding in the sub-vets category this year? See you there!
  22. 'Dale, without going through all 17 pages of this topic, which option did you go for?
  23. I hate to say it, but I recon the only reason Sagan took the green jersey instead of Cav last season was due to Cav having no team support and at times even having to do domestique work for Wiggins. That said, I'd love Sagan / anyone else to challenge him this tour as the sprints in the Giro were extremely predictable. Something else that should happen is that Orica Greenedge should realise that Goss is highly over rated and incapable of beating Cav and thus promote Daryl Impey to the teams lead sprinter slot
