This tyre issue is getting out of control. I also feel that the Formula 1 and Pirelli relationship is close to melting point. Let's be honest, the last 2 Grand Prix's have been extremely boring thanks to the tires being rubbish in Monaco* and too good in Canada. *Disclaimer, Nearly every Monaco GP is a snooze fest but this one was particularly bad.

I'd say try get a 105 groupset, in MTB terms you are looking at somewhere around Deore. Sora is rubbish and Tiagra is average at best.

I too think on the whole that cycling is far more expensive than golf. No matter how kitted out you are, you can walk into a shop and drop 5k on "better" kit without even trying. Let's not even get started on the cost of bikes. Back to the topic though, although general cycling annual fees don't seem excessive, I still feel that R200 or so per race is a bit of a rip off.
