  1. It was probably bought with the proceeds of drug/ crime money and in some countries it has to be destroyed and can not be re-sold or donated. The water was because the fuel tank was leaking and when you crush metal you get sparks and if there was the correct fuel/air mixture then......WOOOSH.
  2. Same problem in KZN
  3. No pictures????
  4. Yes it was a sickening crunch. One of the first things that came to mind was how similar the crash was that brought Burrie's life to a tragic end......Flip man I still miss him.
  5. The baseball batting version of Paul Adams bowling!
  6. Eish, my mouth is watering already.
  7. That's just what I thought!
  8. This post is useless without pickshas.
  9. Yes, he went from a tail slide into a stoppie. If you play the video on 1/4 speed it is quite easy (and terrible) to see what happened and yes, if he didn't hit the car, who knows how far down the side of that mountain he would have gone.... joh.
  10. Haha! I really lol'ed about that one!!!
  11. That would be a bit tricky as my stove came with a hose and regulator already attached so there isn't actually any installation to be done. The only thing required is to attach a gas bottle which one would have to do on a regular basis thus making it a user controlled operation and not something only a technician could do. I mean realistically what installing would the certified technician actually have to do? If the stove you buy does not have a pipe fitted as standard you could simply ask the supplier to fit one before collecting it.
  12. I think Heineke has seen the writing on the wall with regards to his post world cup career. I love our boks and will support them to the bitter end but with these types of performances I am sorry but the bokke won't be winning anything other than the booby prize.
  13. As far as I know, if you only use a flexible pipe like you would with a gas heater it is considered a temporary / removable appliance due to the fact that you can just pick it up and go. As soon as you go to copper / fixed line installation it must be done by an approved installer as it is a permanent installation. The only thing you can't do with a flexible pipe is put it through a wall due to the risk of chaffing etc.
  14. Let me say it again. When loadshedding strikes unexpectedly halfway through whatever you are baking it doesn't really matter how much the gas costs. It is worth every cent! Even 1 messed up baking/roasting session per month will probably outweigh the extra cost of gas. Also electricity prices are set to double over the next few years anyway. As far as the end result of baking in the gas oven, everyone always raves about the stuff my wife bakes in ours. I think the biggest drawback is the grill. It is difficult to get the heat from the flame to go down!
  15. (We have a full gas bosch)
  16. The thing that sealed it for me is eskom. The look on my wifes face said it all when i came home the other day and the gas had run out in the middle of baking something. now i know that was my fault and shouldn't have happened as I was supposed to get a refill but that is besides the point. What i am getting at is that eskom will do to your stove if it is electric what I did to mine, only instead of it happening once in a blue moon eskom will do it to you every time you have something in the oven!
  17. Zim now 188 for 6 needing 86 from 58
  18. Careful now. That could be construed as a fat tax and our larger cycling brethren.
  19. Haha, yes it would be one benefit. It would actually be interesting to see motorists response to something like this . You could also attach some fake rubber steel spikes to the end for a bit of extra entertainment.
  20. My biggest concern though was how un-aero it would be!
  21. Funny thing that, I have actually thought of making a similar contraption on a sprung hinge and riding around with it to see what happens!
  22. Haha, suffering from a bit of foot-n-mouth the mr Warne!
  23. Eish 50/9!
