  1. Sorry, I made one small omission in that post. The word "again" should be found at the end of the sentence.
  2. I see the maincheese lost 4:55 to rogga. Eish but he is going to have to sharpen up if he ever wants to seriously contend for the gc. #nowheretohide #raceoftruth
  3. I've been reading this thread and wondering. If a South African vegan was to be dropped off 100km outside of the city they live in today with a knife and a tent and nothing else and had to stay there for 3 weeks. Would they survive? What would they eat? I've been scratching my brain trying to think if they could survive but I am not so sure.
  4. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer...
  5. Team submitted. Now to see if I can make it to Saturday without fiddling with it too much!
  6. Are you going to add the usual yellow button to the top menu bar that links to the fantasy page?
  7. I had the same issue. Managed to work around it by loading the desktop version of the page.
  8. Wow. This will be awesome. I will be rooting for you all the way. What a good way to put all the difficulties of your injury behind you once and for all.
  9. Reminds me of these crazies. https://youtu.be/shWMkv-BD9g
  10. Sure. I'm just curious as to why a relatively high percentage of those people who obviously feel very passionately about veganism seem to be unable to stick to it long term.
  11. Thoughts? http://benhunt.com/vegan-youtuber-fail-leaderboard/
  12. Thanks, another idea, if you don't have welding kit, is to make the bent part a bit longer and then drill and bolt the 2 pieces together with 2 bolts to make sure the steel add-on stays securely attached.
  13. With that heavy piece of steel hanging on the end of the bar it provides plenty of torque keeping the half nut firmly pushed up against the bolt/ screw part.
  14. And finally the front. ( yes I know it's dirty but hey, that's from all the hard work)
  15. Ok. So here's what I did - as far as I can remember.... Simply gave the bar that raises the half nut a 90° twist about 50mm from the end, then bent the last 30mm 90° to the right (looking from the front) then welded a hefty piece of 5x50 flat bar to that bent piece and that's it! It was one of those frustrated moments when you just quickly try something not really expecting it to work and then it worked so well you don't ever give it a second thought!
  16. Sorry ????I clean forgot. I'm out all day today again. Will try to remember when I get home.
  17. I have got 2 spare ones under my workbench. I've been wondering what to do with them. Perhaps I should sell them to some needy hubbers???
  18. My solution to the popping vise problem now that I think of it worked perfectly. In fact it was a real bodge that worked so well the first time I did it that I had completely forgotten about it! I just bolted a section of angle iron about 400mm long to the part that keeps the half nut engaged and the force of gravity keeps enough pressure on the nut to prevent it popping out. I have used it almost daily for about 10 years loke that and it has never failed. I will have to take a picture of it later this evening when I get home which will better explain how it works.
