  1. I must admit, I would use a saddle bag if my tubeless tyre repair puncture all in one aerosol can fitted in one. But currently the only options are short. Like my sock of choice.
  2. I would imagine Amazon say their device is preloaded with legitimate channels and they do not support any app that allows illegal streaming. Sideloading of Kodi or Mobdro not their issue. But devices sold with the likes of Kodi loaded may face issues. Like that device sold in SA that Multichoice challenged a few months ago.
  3. Sorry Warren, not in the Cape. I had to go looking as I'd never heard of them and my teenagers looked at me like I was speaking foreign.
  4. It defies belief that someone could wear the majority of socks displayed in the thread on the road. Of course when it comes to the mountain, anything goes. Including those funny sun peaks on helmets.
  5. Jagwire is as floppy as a 70 year old's pork sword without Viagra.
  6. Buy these: https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/243042-brakes/ Or these: https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/245208-complete-groupsets/ Or work through the process of changing the housing, then the pads, then the cable, then the callipers and finally add hydraulic fluid with all the changes that entails to all the above plus the levers.
  7. Yep. Maybe they need to create their own work to keep their jobs. But I don't like all the extra click. Maybe Myles can complain on our behalf.
  8. Yesterday late arvo on Chappies Those are dolphins. Today they are Llandudno, about 1,500m of them. Edit: added photo as post pointless without the proof
  9. The new Disco website sucks balls. There is no landing page for Vitality that gives one all the pertinent info. Finding the Active Rewards barometer has become a mission from the login page. I accept change but why can they not make changes that improve things rather than add complexity? Edit: Every operation now requires at least one additional click. Take Fitness Devices page, extra clicks added.
  10. Every race of any import is streamed. Try Tiz, Steephill or ProCycling.
  11. Jakob Fuglsang for the win for me. Dedicated to his late team mate.
  12. Or a replay of some dead boring rugby match, I'm sure.
  13. Another wasted effort with a flaky buyer named Steven from PE. Hi, can you do a hubset at R#,###? Offer some distance below what I wanted. Yes, I reply. Here's my bank account. Send me a delivery address and a POP. And that's the end of the fairy tale. Why make an offer if you have no intention of honouring it? Let's focus on what happens on the hub with ethics and tidy up our own yard rather than bringing in OLX and Gumtree scams.
  14. About R5k over 3 years of which the helmet part was R1.7k, duty and vat was R1k, 2 now irregular sensors were R1.1k and the Scosche was R1.2k without vat. All 3 ANT+ and BLE so Garmin and phone compatible BUT it would have been cheaper just to keep the belt. The belt was either ANT+ or Polar old school for the trainer, not both so I had to keep two sets of data. And the belt was irregular, would peak way over max or just stop transmitting mid ride. I hated it. However, I've paid school fees so everyone else can benefit by just buying the one that works. I loved the helmet idea. But the sensor didn't like sweat too much.
  15. I get her completely. I have struggled to find a replacement for the strap. First I bought the Life-beam lazer helmet with the HRM on my forehead, loved it but it started playing up after 2 years, maybe because I moved it to my pink Rudy Project helmet. I also bought a life-beam peak for the HRM, I used that on the trainer and then in my helmet. That packed up or became unreliable too. Of course having the sensor in a helmet is useless for anything other than riding. I then opted for the arm based Scosche transmitter. It is the dog's bollocks of transmitters. Bought sight unseen as rated the best by DC Rainmaker and found it on Amazon. Sadly not sold in SA. But at R1,200 smuggled via a friend it is just perfect. BLE and ANT+.
  16. Unless you buy into the Tim Noakes cow manure LCHF diet plan. Then it is a completely no no unless you add real butter.
  17. I must say that the Polar Beat phone app is an incredibly easy way to get points. Providing of course you have a HRM that it accepts. Which is almost all BLE straps. And they are available for less than a grand. With a free package like this I really do not understand why it is necessary to shell out for a separate device. I've created accounts for the kids, downloaded the app and they share a HRM strap. Money for jam. Or is it points for smoothies? Of course the app only runs on IOS and Android.
  18. Which is where it came from, their twitter feed.
  19. Why does the hub double post? I most certainly did not type that out twice.

  21. That's it, forgot to tell the mechanics to put the thicker part on the bike. I bet Sagan is hoping they claim responsibility for his "bad luck" at PR. And RVV. And the Olympics MTB race. Patrick Lefevere looked at Sagan as a kid and decided not to sign him. I doubt that he'd look to taking his team to join the kitchen/toilet team in order to get the unlucky one at 6 million euros a year, even if Spesh pay. Imagine the clash of ego between unlucky one and the bad tactics boys.
