  1. So I take it they are very light cause the bike is actually just floating there!?
  2. Didn't ask......think you can use lures for both, jiggly worms..
  3. No need to travel far...was cycling back from town a few days back and came across a guy in Lower Main Rd carry gear and a carp the length of his thigh!!!! Liesbeeck River! Sorry I didn't take a pic, was just too flabbergasted!
  4. Snap from wannasurf.com...note the comment about crowds....with GPS co-ords dated 2009!!!!
  5. We'll use the power of this new fandangle called the Internet to ensure it remains "secret"....all media with metadata from that location will be automatically banned!
  6. Duuude, so now we don't have to sneak off to secret spots to surf anymore!!!
  7. I'm normally travelling the other way in the early AM and just happened to look backwards as I crested Chappies.....did a quick turnabout....lasted about 30 secs! closest I ever been to the pot o'gold...pity I didn't have my dive gear!
  8. I have a few tops from Ciovita and don't have any issues with size although I find their long sleeves are really long but I found that in other brands as well. I have the Contego Jacket and although somewhat expensive for local, man, it fits great and is warm as toast on a cold winter morning...the two way zip is great too...pity there are no rear pockets but side zipped ones are ok for phone and keys...
  9. Plenty of hill repeats to get this..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEooDPGtoM0&feature=youtu.be
  10. dealer retailer? Rapha
  11. Shulda heeded the pre-ride toothless coffee dragon.... 40knots at Cape Point today.....with it.....then into it....
  12. Ordered twice from same UK dealer...DHL Express Ordered placed Friday, goods arrived Tuesday before midday and in time for a ride, both times. Vat 15% Duties 30% (clothing - shoes) Hint: if you use DHL and I suspect any other courier, the faster you pay the customs and duties bill, the faster it clears. Tracking was spot on, notices timely and all billing clear. If you are prepared for the import bill before you make the purchase (because it WILL come), it hurts less.
  13. Illegal trail builders on Bill's Hill?
  14. So many perfect winter days....
  15. Kirstenbosch trail just above the dam....magic spot right under our noses!

  21. Ja, they are beautiful bikes and even with the most basic components, they make your eyes water with envy, I've seen and drooled over one in the flesh...it's a custom build after all, but would still like to know what you get for R38K... Edit.....the Village Roast in Noordhoek from 7 to 9, Sat and Sunday AM is the place to view all manner of weekend "Ferrari's" and "Lambos" of the 2 wheeled variety!
  22. @R38K which groupset?
  23. Guys, you all missed the obvious...Panaracer Gravel Kings.......had the same issues, patience, my friend, patience......add the sealant, pop the beads.....(all GK owners need to know how you did this with new tyres...how big is your compressor volume tank?....how big are your forearms if you don't have a compressor....what's your relationship with your petrol station attendants now if you don't have either of the first 2?.....) and swing that tyre round to make sure the sealant gets everywhere, leave it overnight at over pressure eg 5bar, if its still 5bar in the morning, drop the pressure and go ride, you're lucky! If not, rinse and repeat.....
  24. A day of mixed media....
