  1. Probably the white gold 116719BLRO with larger crown, hard to tell, which came with the oyster bracelet circa 2014/5. Classy $$$$ Bling...
  2. Looks like the GMT Master 2....I see he's bezel is off..or maybe he's tracking another time zone???...his own?
  3. Missing link is open: Suikerbossie to Constantia Nek: Not sure there is anything from the top of Suikerbossie but when to get to the first round about after coming off the bottom of the hill, go left and ride Valley Road past World of Birds and join the main road to the Nek further up at Dise River Road. Follow the path up from Hout Bay to the Nek, its just off on the "shoulder" going up on the left side Nek to Rhodes: The only route I know is up the path from the Nek along the Newlands trail which drops down to the M3 just past Kirtstenbosch...to Rhodes Memorial....I dunno This video starts at the top of Southern Cross so you can skip that by coming in direct from the Nek roundabout
  4. This is a pic of him at the Biden inauguration, got there early, set himself up and waiting for the show....pic became modern day folklore ie a meme! Here's the original...
  5. V cool pics!!!
  6. Epic story Wayne! No shame, in fact, hats off for getting this far in that weather...mate of mine did something similar up the West Coast and it BROKE him...still suffering long term damage from poor bike set up...so you chalked up experience to be able to plan the next adventure!!!!
  7. Managed to get some surf before the ban......
  8. 7449km in 10hrs...I forgot to turn on Strava!! (back to work.... )
  9. Quick morning dash...
  10. So I only got onto it at the Disa River Road intersection going up (I avoid the roundabout at the bottom of Hout Bay Road and rather ride up and down along Valley Road past the World of Birds and join up at Disa River Road)...it's pretty easy to spot, it's about 1m off to the side of the road, on the "shoulder", same side as traffic flow up the climb..ie on the left. Further down towards the traffic circle I have seen guys way off on a service road running parallel to Hout Bay Road but closer to the roudabout at the bottom, I'm not sure, its pretty tight down there....
  11. Awesome adventure!
  12. So I once rode up to Constantia Nek from Hout Bay (some few years back) then vowed NEVER to do that again... If I do my "Atlantic Loop" I drive to Hout Bay and park and ride from there to avoid the climb up to the Nek...(if fact, truth be told, I have stopped at the Hout Bay Mayor's Air BNB and begged for a lift back up on one occasion). So then this thread popped up and I though OK lets give it a go!.... So from the river turn to the World of Birds all the way up to the Nek roundabout, my rubber never met the tar once...I say whoever has done the hard work of clearing a safe route up this treacherous climb has saved lives and opened up a now complete closed cycle route for those armed with MTB and gravel bikes....a heartfelt thanks!!!

  20. Not today...(cause I'm on leave!! ) Floated a sunken oil rig! Every other day....trying to stay out the shite.... And NO its not me that keeps trying to buy stuff for my cousin, on BikeHub!
  21. No way you can let that happen to your sparkly cranks...Longer crank boots? Edit...BTW are they walkable without sparks coming from the cleats?
  22. Halfway stop...Bitou River Valley...muggy, grey, overcast 25click loop through Wittedrif Smooth equestrian tar... Bone-jarring gravel.....
  23. Excellent pics!!!
  24. Some really cool riding! Floradale is excellent on a gravel bike! video up shortly....no beers tho! Pity..did stop at Wagon Wheel for pies on day one tho, second prize!! Edit:
  25. Awesome rides around East London (incl Floradale MTB), searing heat and dust one day (45clicks) and clammy overcast hero dirt (25clicks) the next, after an overnight downpour of note...all done with a healthy dose of social distancing...ie vastly different levels of post-Chrismas fitness!!!
