  1. Ah not a problem. But I am sure you noticed all the other guys standing around watching us and talking amongst each other =) Anywho we must do it again sometime.
  2. Count me in for tomorrow afternoon's ride =)
  3. I go out with the JMBC every weekend and quite enjoyed this last ride that we did. We cycled around Logwood beneath the final approach to runway 06L at Lanseria. It was pretty cool cycling and having the aircraft coming in to land above our heads =) Next weekend the ride is at northern farms. Come along and join us if you want. You are more than welcome to =)
  4. Enjoy the ride. I am going to be joining the jmbc at logwood tomorrow morning.
  5. I know this is not a pocket knife but it has been on my belt every day =)
  6. yesh I was hoping to be able to join this rietvlei ride but after having gone to bed at 3am there was no wayI was going to wake up in time and now I am stuck at work BOOOOOOOOOO :cursing:
  7. I think I may have a Lasagne or some lasagne once I have home from flying around JHB. Going on a 3 hour night nav and will probably be landing at 21H00 tonight =)
  8. I have been considering getting a go pro as I can use it for more than just mtbing but the price is really really putting me off =(
  9. ok so HT MTB with knobblies then =) Anyone else going out with their knobblies?
  10. Ah ok. That does actually make sense now =)
  11. And here I am considering doing the race on my mtb with knobblies. I have no idea what kind of time I would be looking at
  12. Yeah I have been trying to find the thread. I mean we have now managed to get a slow and unfit group cycling together but the thread is now AWOL >={
  13. That is what I was thinking. Well I will probably be waiting before I think of changing my drive chain. I am currently on a scott aspect with a 3 x 9. Awesome bike but wanting to try something different, I may end up avoiding the granny gear all together though. I shall see. But when I do get another bike I certainly shall look at the 2 x 10 option for the drive chain. The bike I am looking at is the Merida one-twenty. I have heard it is also an awesome bike but this time I am going for a large frame. Medium is JUST too small =(
  14. Is it possible to convert a bike from a 3 x 9 to a 2 x 9 or 2 x 10?
  15. I am 23 and have so far pulled and stripped an aircraft engine along with having stripped and overhauled 4 carbs. Hmmm Hijack over =)
  16. Yeah I am talking bout collecting the number board etc. I have already paid for my entry. Will speak to my boss and see if I can head round to pfc and get the number board etc from there
  17. Just under 2 weeks to go. I am looking forward to this race. I have done a 30 km race (parys dirtmax) and am now really really looking forward to down and dirty. I am doing the 40 km YIPPEEEEE Is it possible to register on the day of the race? I work in the deeeeeep south so no chance of getting to pfc to get my registration pack before hand =(
  18. Or so you like to "think" >=}
  19. I have been concidering a 29er but think I will stick to the 26er for now but when I upgrade one of the bikes I am looking at is the Merida one-twenty
  20. Thanks for the awesome ride yesterday. WP I am glad we could all help out. As for me I seem to have left my right knee somewhere I am going to head to the doc this afternoon to see what she has to say about it as I need my knee back before September 1st or else my entry goes up for sale =(. I agree with what others have said, we MUST do this again =)
  21. There are a number of awesome tracks that I want to get but cannot find the albums with those songs anywhere. Does anyone know how to download tracks from YouTube or where I could possibly find them?
  22. Dj Manian - Raver's fantasy and welcome to the club
  23. Slick was saying that going through technical single track one should be standing thus providing greater maneuvrability
  24. This was 40 km for some people. Thanks for organising the ride S.I.R. M it was a great ride. Unfortunately I was being a bit over ambitious with the 80km but it was still an awesome ride. Slick I am going to come back to you for some more pointers especially after what you said about if you are "sitting in single track you are doing it all wrong".
  25. Just looking at the weather these are current conditions for Lanseria and Jhb international. FALA 090300Z 23004KT CAVOK 02/M01 Q1023 NOSIG= FAJS 090330Z 24004KT CAVOK 02/M01 Q1023 NOSIG= Basically all we have is a light breeze minimum temperature of 1 deg (ouch) and no cloud. YIPPEE!!!!!
