  1. please u cant compare rowing and football!!!! to make it at the top level as a footballer you need talent that's not something you can improve in a gym.... I happen to know one of SA Olympic rowers, Even if he had to dedicate 8 hours a day to football he would have zero chance on the football field. keep dreaming buddy

  12. the trails in the park are way to short! put the bridges in but make them safe, they left very little room for error on those things.

Sorry I know u said if money isnt an issue and its not for me, but i do think race organizers are taking advantage of the demand at this stage. its all becoming a cycle nkandla! I do think in the long term its gonna hurt the sport.

  17. My 26er/650b was 9,5kg, just grab a carbon 26er frame here on the hub, they cheap as chips second hand. U should be closer to 10kg then.

  21. lay off the protein shakes, got some mates who developed kidney stones as a result! if you want protein just add some red meat to you diet. dont take any of that stuff, water or game is my fuel of choice, dont take any recovery crap just get a massage during multi-stage event as it moves the lactic acid from the muscles you feel great afterwords. Most pills or shakes dont work as you body will only take so much of the vitamin or protein in after that all its doing is making your piss expensive. go see a dietitian, did you know all you need a day is a shot glass of orange juice the rest you will just pass.(vitamin C)

  23. got both 2x10 on hard tail and 1x11 on dual sus, use the hardtail on flat races as on the 1x11 i do spin out and i have the 36T on the front. so if ur a race snake make sure u got the ratio right upfront on the xx1. but saying that i think the 1x11 is much better in the climbs, any race with over 1200m climb i will go the dual sus.
  24. no, I have heard him talk about Sewgolum beating him in 1965 just for this poor guy having to collect his trophy outdoors in the rain as he was not allowed in the club house! the news was not allowed to be published as he was an indian.

I have a colored friend who race'd in SA in the 80, if he got a top 3 finish he was not allowed to podium. heard the same thing from Gary Player concerning local golf tournaments.
