  1. Just bought this on the weekend. It's a real mess... but I've already stripped it for a rebuild. Fitting some new parts this week: '08 Boxxer World Cup (NOS), Sun MTX 33 rims. I'll be ordering new bars, stem, chain ring and chain device at the end of the month. http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n130/hellchops/cid_090814_172955.jpg For now, I'll use the bar, stem, chain ring and chain device from my old bike: http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n130/hellchops/_MG_6394Small.jpg The 40 is going on my mate's Boot'r (it's getting rebuilt and repainted). My old bike (pictured above) will be available as a complete bike for around R10k, that bike will be built during next week. It's a Giant DH Team (small) and it will have a '09 Marz Bomber 888RCV (from the Boot'r) on it, rear shock is a Manitou Swinger. Hopefully the Glory will be up and running by the weekend.... looking more racey!
  2. I'm not old... 26... and I appreciate the older stuff. I'm sure Harryn is just revving you guys up
  3. I also support Women's Rights. Nah, a woman in a cage is alright.
  4. I am angry at people that put birds in cages.
  5. Zeus have a very odd BCD of 119mm' date=' so getting chainrings for these cranks is next to impossible. [/quote'] I have a 51t and a 42t to go with it. I might have to mission for the "right" rear cog, but I'm sure I'll find something. Worse comes to worse, I'll have something made up. The wonderful world of the 'net makes anything possible.
  6. Awesome thread. I just hold of a set of Zeus 165mm track cranks. Will be used for my fixie project (that's gonna take ages)...
  7. I bunnyhopped that today... was fun I can't wait to get mine done!
  8. YES! I use the Barbieri chain cleaner, with Ecotech degreaser. Works a charm! Quick, easy, does the job well and rinses off with water. Drive train clean in less than 5 mins!
  9. Mike got three chains in on a special order. We'll be doing more and more of these sort of products as demand grows. Hopefully in a few weeks time we'll be getting some more FBM Sword frames (and forks!). The bike have some scuffs, but both are recent builds and so they still look new. We're busy with some other projects already. A GT STS MTB built with new parts all from the 90's. Another fixie is in the works too
  10. The idea of hanging a bicycle on a wall is ridiculous. Even if it's only a weekend bike, it must be ridden... and these two bikes do get ridden
  11. 12. Currently on a Giant DH Team: http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n130/hellchops/RABBID.jpg Helderkruin. http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n130/hellchops/bee-radSmall.jpg Cascades http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n130/hellchops/_MG_6182Small.jpg Mankele Will be riding one of these when they arrive.. http://www.giant-bicycles.com/_generated/_generated_cn/news/2009/giant-glory-mtb-d.jpg
  13. Nice one! I wanted to race on Sunday. Built my new bike on Saturday morning and then went to Bryanston to get used to it.... 5/6 yrs off a race bike and I realised I need a bit more practice
  14. Saw this bike last night, looks good
  15. I would like to here the other side - I have my doubts that we will. Many industry goers do well to stay clear of the trash talk on here. I would also love to know the name of your store...
  16. I have Shadow Conspiracy half links in 1/2 x 1/8 (i.e not 3/32). R30 each. If you're keen, mail me at sales(at)theriot.co.za. Don't PM me, my browsing habits vary Brad
  17. I stand by what I said earlier. But this is interesting: http://www.ibiscycles.com/downloads/Brian_Lopes_Web.mov?PHPSESSID=6cbcf0158eba27194720aaaf3acae9f4
  18. I cannot afford the insurance on a nice carbon MTB, neither could I afford to replace it. Accident's happen, I'd rather be riding an Alu bike when they do...
