In my almost two decades the experience has been the opposite. Okes take risks when a PB is on the cards. When it's windy or rainy there are still crashes, but less silly crashes. 🤷‍♂️

Considering that you'd likely need to replace all drive train parts on such an old bike (and there is no stock) I'd advise most to rather look at buying new. The only redeeming aspect (in the eye of most buyers) is that it's full carbon. I'd go to market for R11k and be happy with R8k. If it sits for a few weeks I'd take any offer I get. I sold a much better specced actively raced and maintained 10-speed racing bike for R10k a year and some change ago...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you don't have to press charges for theft. The police gan deal with that. You have to press charges for assault and battery if you wish.

Look at similar specced bikes from the same era. Look at what could be bought new. Post specs and you'll get advice.

Start list last year also barely looked like the line-up come Thursday. I'll reserve analysis of the competition for T - 5 minutes. Racing VA, and keen to see how the combination of vets groups will pan out.

The second part *hour or more* looks like a remnant from 2020. I would disregard that.

I went back on route last year up to the first waterpoint. Stopped at the car first to get some food, fresh bottles and take my transponder off the bike... 👀

If Boland Race of Truth was still on my racing calendar I'd definitely do a second lap this year. As things stand I'm not racing into April and would rather get home at a decent hour. Priorities sometimes shift. 🤷‍♂️ Next year!

You cannot reseed on Strava or self reported ability. Perhaps if you did an event not officially considered for seeding you might have an outside chance at registration.

No research has shown that it’s harmful to exercise after getting the COVID-19 vaccine. Side effects may be slightly worse if you exercise though, so wait until they subside. I only took 1 day off with both my jabs so far because I had no side effects. Spoke to many riders that resumed easy training the day after side effects subsided.
